Ejection was correct. Not sure a suspension is warranted. His leg was grabbed. Though, personally I wouldn't mind. Dude should be playing in China.

Draymond should have been suspended so many times. He should have been suspended for the whole playoffs after what he did to Adams in 2016 and he didn't get anything. He had to go after LeBron to get suspended, but it was long overdue.

GrayGoat

Draymond would be the only player to stomp an opponent in the chest while he’s down and not get suspended lol

I say none or maximum 1 game. He did sort of stomped but but held back a lot. Otherwise Sabonis wouldn't be able to play due to cracked ribs. Sabonis also grabbed his leg.

It’s a natural reaction to kick your leg at someone who is pulling on it. I understand the ejection but a suspension for this would honestly be excessive, the exception being if he had done it to someone like Lebron. In this case I hope the NBA doesnt go soft about it but Im sure they will.

Sacramento Kings All-Star Domantas Sabonis is undergoing X-rays on his ribs/lungs, sources tell ESPN. Sabonis is getting evaluated after Draymond Green stepped on him in Game 2.

It was (1) excessive and (2) could've caused a serious injury plus (3) looking worse (for him) given Poole's punch and his past antics. That's 3 games, I'd dock 1 cuz Sabonis did grab his leg so 2 games. But at worst he's not getting more than 1-game suspension.

Sabonis baited him. Green took the bait. His past reputation speaks for itself. Officials will always be more critical of Green because of previous experiences.

I mean come on, his own teammate earlier this year hurt his feelings with words and he ended up punching his own teammate because he can't control his emotions.

Dillon Brooks got suspended only 1 game for hitting DMitch in the nuts. I doubt Draymond gets suspended for that. I would guess he just gets a fine.

Draymon's leg was grabbed, it's true. However, a normal person would not have stepped on the chest of a downed player. Draymond took advantage of the situation. A normal person would have stood still trying to avoid the chest or even fallen to the floor and try to catch themselves before choosing to step on someone's chest. No opinion on a suspension one way or the other.

I would agree if he had not been provoked but Sabonis did grab him first so it's not like he was just looking to start something. I could see a game suspension to send a message in the regular season but in the playoffs a guy should only be suspended for something major and/or unforgivable. GS probably is losing regardless but it would be a shame to end the series over something that minor.

If this wasnt the NBA you'd be charged for assault.

But you can grab them? In the court of law he could argue self defense and with video evidence the most he would get for that in the real world would be a fine. You have this weird habit of acting like people should be able to do stupid shit and not get any payback.

defense from what? Lol. His ankle was loose at the time he lifted it and it was well loose when he went for the kick.

Do you know what self defense is? Lol.

You have this weird habit of not applying logic to your arguments.

So you didn't see him grab his leg? Because that's just a fact it's not debatable. The only thing that would be in dispute is whether or not the kick was excessive and if so, how excessive it was. The fact that he was grabbed first is not disputable. Any one with an ounce of sense (which doesn't include you apparently) could guess that Green would argue self-defense.

His history is why I do think a suspension is possible but the commisioner should consider that he was not the instigator.

Do you have comprehension issues?

You'd argue self defense, I said, defense from what?

I went on to explain to you, that his foot was already loose when he lifted it, and well loose when he went down for the kick. So self defense no longer applies or ever seriously applied to begin with.

No one is even talking about what Green would argue. Stop deflecting from your initial terrible take, by saying what Green would argue.

The left foot leaves the ground before the right foot leaves the chest. Draymond knew what he was doing and given that you are apparently a Golden State fan, I will just assume you are trolling or suffering from cognitive dissonance on the Draymond Green subject.

Sabonis instigated the incident.
Draymond took advantage of the instigation and escalated the physicality dramatically so.

They're both being lame and not playing basketball.

It definitely wasn't self defense though and that can't be argued with a straight face.

Ron Artest got 7 games for elbowing James Harden. Why should STOMPING ON A GUYS CHEST be any different?

The **** is there to debate? That's beyond a foul, it's assault.

Harden did nothing to Artest, that's completely different. No way would 7 games be considered.

Stop being a fanboy and start respecting FAIR COMPETITION. It's one thing to be team homer, but it's embarrassing to just ignore what's clear as mud right in front of you as assault all in an effort to support your team.

Have some integrity.

I would like anyone to watch this angle of it and somehow argue that Draymond didn't intentionally do it and didn't intentionally shift all of his weight onto Sabonis' chest after his foot was already there. You can clearly see that Draymond could have made an effort to step over him but he stops his leg and foot from going forward abruptly and comes straight down and down with a greater level of force than a step. Then as he's untangling himself he shifts his weight onto his right foot as a final '**** you' to Sabonis.

I mean it's whatever, intentional on Sabonis' part or not, Sabonis grabbed his leg thus initiating it and Draymond wouldn't be in the league without this type of crazy competitive mentality and I'm not in the least bit mad about any of this, but at least let's call it what it is. Or are we back to believing Draymond and his 'kinesiology' arguments as he repeatedly kicked people in the nuts?

It’s funny how you can tell me how I get hit and how my body is supposed to react. I didn’t know the league office was that smart when it came to body movements. I’m not sure if they took kinesiology for their positions to tell you how your body is going to react when you get hit in a certain position.

Which seem to have magically stopped by the way. Guess it wasn't kinesiology after all.

Then again, Draymond is a very honest person about these things, obviously.
