What are your thoughts about this ??

Should the league shrink the game schedule ?
Space games out a little differently ?
Minimize travel with back to back games in same city ?

thoughts ....

I have never seen so many injuries over the first round in the history I have watched the game.
Something is happening , not sure if these athlete's are stressed out physically because the game has become more demanding ?

Add a few more question marks so we can decide.

It's hilarious how a number of playoff teams decided to sit out some of their prominent stars in the last few games of the reg. season. Only to see some of them suddenly become hobbled early to middle of the first round.

This.

The sooner people understand that all this "training science" is mostly expensive pseudo-babble, the better.

The league will never agree to lose the revenue of shortening the season.

Players need to man up. All this modern medicine and players are missing more games than ever?

I think a lot of it is due to coddling growing up, mentally, and physically with this zoomer generation.

But it also might be in their diets, and the fact that they play one sport in particular too much, former pro athletes have commented on this before. It actually burns your body out quicker. You also need ample rest instead of playing AAU all spring and summer long.

But it started for me noticing this about 10 years ago, when all of a sudden you had players like Kevin Ware, and Paul George having compound leg fractures. At no point in basketball should your tibia and fibula be breaking.

Maybe these guys are on steroids, or some type of Genetic modifiers that is weakening the density of their bones. In combination with the vast majority of them being mentally softer, point blank, it has led to so many injuries.

Everybody’s nicked up throughout the course of an 82 game season plus playoffs, but even with these athletes, literally being spoiled by being allowed to take games off to “load manage” when they can play, as much of a disservice as that is to paying fans. There shouldn’t be this many injuries.

And it’s not like today’s game is any physical. It’s a lot of cardio, but that’s it. Physicality has been entirely removed from the sport.
