Why would they do that? I guess Leonard isn't supporting them enough? That's still crazy though. Can't help but wonder if this is part of why he's not playing right now.

This crossed my mind too. Obviously, we don't know their family dynamics, and I don't believe that he necessarily has an obligation to take care of his adult sister just because he's rich, but I just can't see anyone who has a rich sibling thinking that armed robbery is even an option for obtaining money. I mean, it's wrong and evil in every way, no matter the circumstances, but it just makes far less sense in this case.

Even if I didn't like my brother or sister O would be supporting them just to avoid this kind of headline. It's very possible though that he is supporting her but she blew through her allowance and is just crazy.

I agree. I'm nowhere near rich, but I actually have a sister who has a rather sketchy past, and when she asks to borrow money, I often give it to her just to avoid hearing that she has returned to her past habits. But sadly, sometimes as I have found out, some people need to learn lessons the hard way.

For $900. He probably cares something for her, or maybe it's his mom using his money to help her daughter, because she had an upper tier attorney while her codefendant only had a public defender.
I have a feeling this doesn't bother him as much as it would most people though. The guy is a cyborg. When his father was shot and killed execution style, he still played his high school basketball game a couple of hours after hearing the news.

Not the first time she robbed someone either.
Just a common filth of society. She could get any entry level job in the NBA via her brother's connection. Instead chose thug life.

On a positive note, her employers will no longer have to worry about her not showing up 75% of the time.

What happened to Afaf Assad is devastating, and her family must still be grieving deeply. Justice being served might provide some closure, but nothing can undo the pain caused. Cases like this highlight the importance of addressing cycles of criminal behavior and finding ways to prevent such tragedies in the future. My thoughts go out to the victim’s family and everyone affected by this senseless act.

This is just more proof Lebron is hunted in the streets every time he steps outside.

Situations like these remind us of the importance of accountability and the devastating ripple effects of violence—not only for the victims and their families but also for communities as a whole. Hopefully, this outcome brings some closure to those affected.
