I don't like Don Lemon at all but the way they fired him was pretty pathetic considering he's been with CNN for 17 years and along with Anderson Cooper he was the face of the network for many years. They didn't even tell him to his face, they told his agent that his services were no longer required.

Is I was the news head of a network, I’d hire these two immediately to do a show together. Kind of like what Tucker and that old democratic strategist used to do ages ago. But bring it up to 2023 standards, make it like a Jerry Springer version of a political show. Bring in extremist from each side to go at it, have a live crowd hooting and hollering etc. ratings would be insane.

There was an old show my dad used to watch when I was a kid. On like ABC or NBC where there were 2 guys on opposite sides of the aisle going at it. Can't remember the name.

I imagine the show would be a hit but I doubt Tucker would do it. He's extremely talented at what he does and probably has quite a few eggs in the basket. He founded the Daily Caller and can probably start up something similar again if he wanted to.

Tucker is worth almost half a billion dollars. Don Lemon is worth 12 million. Needless to say Don Lemon would jump at the chance to join TC on a show like that but there's probably not a lot of incentive for Carlson to do it

Don’t know what each of them value but one thing I believe is that once someone gets famous/known in front of a camera, it’s like an addiction they cannot give up. These two will pop up soon again and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was in “lesser”’roles, they both strike me as having a big hunger for fame/popularity that needs to be fed.

Something tells me CNN is up to something.

If CNN gets rid of the psycho Liberals on that network and hires Tucker Carlson, they make billions overnight.

That show that Jon Stewart destroyed and had Tucker bumbling through his notes looking for a retort after Stewart called him a partisan hack to his face

Stewart was going after CNN and partisan news reporting more than anything else. TC going after Stewart's throat again and again was sort of cringe, I don't think he's used to being talked to like that, especially from a younger man. He eventually had to throw Tuck a few punches. It is kinda of refreshing though, JS leans left but he had no problem attacking both sides and tried to remain as neutral as possible. Something very rare in 2023

similar to chris cuomo. ever since he got tossed, he's been in crisis mode because he's not out there being seen and heard anymore.

btw, the jon stewart vs bill orielly debates were always pretty interesting and entertaining.

it wouldn't work - lemon couldn't hang with tucker on an intellectual level. jon stewart & tucker though - that would be interesting.

Republicans hate intellectuals.

That's why their base is nothing but Joe Sixpacks.

Never try to go after a comedian, especially in real time. Their job is to be clever, you will get eviscerated.

Yes but when the Left was represented by James Carville, he’s the guy I am thinking of. He had more personality than whoever that dude is and he had a better back and forth with Tucker.

News opinion shows aren’t about intellectualism, they are about poking the bear on the other side. The voting populace doesn’t give a shit about intellectuals, they look down on them if anything, they want bare knuckles take down of the other side.
