Could be the most wronged player in recent times. If all these stupid franchises and teammates did it his way, he (and them) would have had a ring now.

With a case like Butler, it is obviously not the fault of every other franchise but Heat. Doesn't work that way.

More likely he has an abrasive personality and needs a strong hierarchy to be contained. Like a snappy dog. Need a pack leader like Pat Riley.

Jimmy is abrasive and hitting his mental prime whil still being athletic

This jimmy can go toe to toe with most hof swing men on any given night. He's on an insane run.

Him & the Heat are a perfect match. None of those teams have done shit without him and it's because they haven't held their supposed star players accountable. Jimmy has the mentality that all the GOAT-caliber players do and he's not afraid to express it. He wasn't this good back then though so you could see how his mentality would have not worked with guys more talented than him. He was right to call out Towns & Wiggins and I know he hated Ben Simmons' punk ass too if you believe the reports that came out after he left the team.

If only the heat won during the 2020 disney bubble, he would have won the finals mvp that year. Which would have only meant that it took him 9 years to snatch a finals mvp, unlike the 12 years of your hero. :lebronamazed:

Embiid cannot handle an alpha team mate.

He needs soft c0cks like Harden and the rest of that soft squad

For the Sixers? Hell no. Tobi was cheaper. That was the reason. We always wanted Butler. But Simmons and Embiid were the project. Tobi was the cheaper option. I wanted Butler to stay

Even at Simmons' "peak", to take him over Butler is a crime. But it wasn't just about being cheap, it was also that the franchise didn't like Butler's approach to the coach and Simmons and thought better not deal with it. In doing so it deprived Philly from a potential dynasty with Embiid and Butler. Again it comes down to underrating Butler, not only what he brings to the table but also his approach to the game which is a winning approach. If thats "abrasive" then you it seems you *need* abrasive.

Pero, perhaps you don’t know this, but Jimmy has an incompatibility issue with many loud/shameless/low-class African American teammates. Jimmy listens to hella rock music and country music. Jimmy identifies culturally as an American, and not as a “black American”, but almost like a white American.

Jimmy likes white/foreign teammates most. He won’t play with, or tolerate in the locker room, a DeMarcus Cousins or a Lance Stephenson or a Miles Bridges, etc … since his upbringing and terrible horrible mother and absent father, and subsequent adoption into a white Christian family who treated him better than he knew people could be treated, made him culturally despise his own childhood and family so much.

But Jimmy isn’t “racist” against any skin color, Jimmy simply despises certain low class cultural attributes to a point where he WILL NOT tolerate them being around him in his life or his job. Jimmy is “culturally biased” against what euros may refer to as “public housing culture” or “council housing culture” / dysfunction.

His life story is a tragedy that he still struggles with today, and the cultural distaste will probably be something he Carries with him well after he retires from basketball.

Pat Riley respects Jimmy’s lifelong identity struggle and determination to be the best human he can be (not just a great ball player, but a great human being). Pat and staff don’t attempt to force Jimmy to adapt to ghetto teammates, Jimmy’s strong cultural bias is what it is, they let him have it, and Miami has built a culture of the best personalities and best quality individuals around him, all of which treat Jimmy with the type of respect and conduct he expects, and none who remind him of the family he was born into.

It’s a seriously intense psychoanalytical experiment, and I respect everyone involved as they simply aspire to being the best quality people they can be, and hold themselves to a standard many other teams don’t require.

Jimmy is like equal parts Michael Jordan x Unkle Ruckus

Bit too far if you ask me to attribute his mentality to race or culture, hes just an extremely intelligent and determined person so when all these clubs did BS he called them out. Thw problem is why did nobody believe him and instead he got the bad rap??

I mean he was beefing with KAT, and that guy went to an all boy rich kid Christian high school. I think he just doesn't like low energy softer players.

Embiid shit the bed in that series. 17 ppg on 37% shooting from your superstar center. I'm surprised it isn't talked about more. Jimmy butler was the only one in the starting lineup who played well.

He was really going to shit on bed against a good defensive team in toronto that had good defenders like ibaka and kawhi bt.

Didn't he beat Giannis 2x in the POs? Also balled out in the Finals vs. Bran despite being down 2 of his guys. Also was a Bran miracle shot from going up 3 - 1 on the Cavs despite Rose & Gasol being injured in 2015. He's a dog.

If David Blatt is called for asking a timeout with no timeouts left, it doesnt even get to that shot and history might be different today.

He played great but maybe 19.4 ppg just wasn't enough. :confusedshrug:

Butler seems like he is ready to take on a star burden while being open to being treated like any other player (being criticized, doing dirty work etc....)

This is going to rub the "young socialite" type wrong.

He's got that nomadic warlord type energy.

The Butler way hasn't produced a ring.
