@ShamsCharania
Clippers star Kawhi Leonard has been diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his right knee, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Leonard averaged 35 points in first two games of this postseason vs. Suns before the meniscus injury was revealed and he was shut down by medical staff.

Hm and some ppl were suggesting he was ‘load managing’ in the playoffs.

I look forward to his 2 big playoff games a year, if we even get that at this point. Makes you wonder how he managed to stay healthy during that title run with the Raps.

This makes you appreciate D-Wade even more. He knew his body was breaking down and took a sidekick role. Kawhi needs to follow same blueprint.

Dude should retire but he's making too much money. I'm trading him if I'm the Clippers.

Damn no way they lied about his injury & kept the fans' hopes up in two consecutive Playoffs? You'd think they'd have known about his meniscus earlier.. It does look like his career as a superstar is over and he's signed up until 2025 with a player option on the last year, smh. They saw his acl injury & extended him for 4 years lmao.

He was finished as an NBA basketball player after 2021 unfortunately. His body has failed him.

Lakers dodged a bullet when he decided to go to the Clippers.
However Lakers really missed out on getting Jimmy Butler in summer of 2019 and went chasing after Kawhi instead.

Pretty much. Although you could say that Davis might be close to broken due to consistent injuries. Lakers will have to trade him or move on from him once LeBron leaves. There is a coming rebuild for the Lakers in a couple years. It's the last hurrah imo. Lakers now have some assets luckily between Russell, Vanderbilt and Beasley. They also developed reaves and rui. They still have their first round pick in 2029 (another should be opening up for trade in either 2024 or 2025 depending on which the Pelicans choose). We will be past the Davis trade with all debt paid essentially.
Clippers are screwed lol. Again.

Yeah if only we got Jimmy Buckets man.. Can't believe the Sixers got rid of him to keep Harris & Simmons jfc.. Hindsight is 20/20 obv but he was the only one capable of running their offense against a good team in the POs.

I think this year and possibly the next year is the last hurrah with Bron. LeBron's body won't last past another playoff run after this one.
Reeves turned himself into a huge asset that is more valuable than Kuzma was. Kuzma never had a consistent stretch of games where he was as good as Reaves has been for an entire month. Reaves might be worth Kuzma + KCP together.
The Lakers got insanely lucky that Reaves turned himself into a super solid rotation player that almost anyone in the league would want.

Jimmy Butler and AD + 1 more decent player was enough to continue contending after LeBron retires or breaks down completely.
After Bron is done in a year or 2. There is a big rebuild coming.

Lebron might keep going for 4 more years at the rate his body keeps up, the man is superhuman.

LeBron started having foot problems on 1 foot beginning of this season. He played through it entire season.
Then tore a tendon on his other foot after breaking Kareem's record.
His body is breaking down he has about 1-2 more years in him.
Who knows? Maybe he heals himself in Germany and stretches his career out 3-4 more years.

I blame those cheapo New Balance sneakers he is endorsing.
Probably slightly better than BBB

No, the last 3 years he had so many injuries and just now they said he has an ankle injury which needs surgery but will never be the same again anyway. There's only declining.
Just too many games. He's still a 250 lbs guy jumping and running like a PG. Your knees, ankle's, all the joints suffer alot with that weight and overtraining all the time. The wear and tear is irresversible.

Clearly you don’t hoop. New Balance basketball shoes the past few years have been quite good. As good or better quality than Nike’s offerings at a more affordable cost to the consumer.
