Jerry West would have been an Mvp level player regardless of era, tiers better than Arenas. Cousy is a bigger what if but in this 2 on 2 matchup Reddick isnt a good enough player to make a difference.

Arenas was a guy who could make life hell for anyone on any given day regardless of who you are. He was too quick.

In a 5-on-5 scenario sure I'd rather have West because of the way he approached the game (I say all of this as someone who's only watched Arenas and not West so wtf knows), but in a 2-on-2? Quickness and shooting wins. Redick is bigger than Cousy and would score. Arenas is quicker than West and would score.

West would certainly score too but Cousy is way to old-school to even be able to tell what he would do with newer guys. Probably wouldn't fare too well tbh. He might not be dominated by JJ Redick but he wouldn't be all time Bob Cousy either.

Jerry West could score too and is one of the best perimeter defenders of all time, Im sure he would have won his matchup with Arenas. It boils down to Cousy vs Reddick which would have been a wash imo because Reddick wasnt that good regardless of how Cousy translates in the modern game

Perhaps if we're playing with old school travel rules then you might be right. Arenas was of the Iverson ilk where every move would have been a carry in the 60s.

In any pre-carry rules I'd go with West and Cousy. Post-carry rules I'd think it depends if West and Cousy got an opportunity to brush up on some moves and some time adjusting for it.
