View Full Version : Do the Lakers have what it takes to win with Lebron at 4.8 min time of possession?

That's pretty low for him... requires greater ball movement/chemistry that's more correlated with an organic tenure

LeBron already won in Kobe's disastrous wake.
They went from worst franchise in sports to competing for multiple titles after LeBron joined
Kobe was the worst player in the world at the same stage of his career, LeBron is leading a title contender
Crazy huh?

The less LeDeadWeight plays, the better the Lakers look.
And as for what the guy above me said, Bronie isn't leading anything. He's the fourth option. :lol

Then why are you making threads about him after every game as though he's failing to lead and/or choking? 4th options don't get spoken about that way so choose which one you want it to be but not both because it's lame.

Because he chucks up shots like he's a first option still. As I've said in other threads (but to be fair, you may not have seen them), if he would be willing to take on a 6th man role, or relegate himself to 4th option, the Lakers would all but be a lock for the title. He doesn't seem to be capable of doing that though. No way he's going to let someone else on his team get FMVP if he can help it, even if it means shooting the Lakers out of the finals.

I mean yea he's taking too many threes but he isn't monopolizing the offense. Reaves, Dlo, Schroder are all able to do their thing. He's playing off-ball more, cutting to basket, getting putbacks.
But when push comes to shove he's still the best playmaker on the team so he's going to have the ball. You can call him LeShrivel for missing some shots or whatever but the team offensively would not be the same without him. Particularly when things slow down and the defense ramps up.

"Missing some shots or whatever...."
His three point shooting this playoffs so far is as follows:
3-8
1-8
0-4
1-7
1-9
That's a whopping total of 6-36. That's 16.7%
He's Dillon Brooks without the good looks.

You just ignored every aspect of context given around what you bolded. Delete the bolded part from the paragraph if you want and the point remains the same.

"in Kobe's wake" means right after Kobe, and Lebron was lottery in his first season with Lakers - he needed AD to turn the team into champion via #1 defense and leading the team in scoring (while also leading the Lakers to Finals over Joker)

You did make a fair point that he's not monopolizing the offense AS MUCH as he has been in recent times, but he's still getting way too much ball time in my opinion. I don't expect you to agree with that though.

Let's be honest OP - Bran's deferred and played off-ball like you've asked of him & they're winning. Bran finally read your posts.
