That's how it was in Phoenix too when I started watching games. But RSN's took over the whole damn league. So for Ishbia to be the first one to pull the trigger and get us out of the RSN Bally Sports bullshit, he deserves some praise. I believe this first domino falling may trigger (some) other owners to do the same thing.

operative word being "used" to. past tense. natural consequence of capitalism. execs ask how can we make more money? distribute rights to a regional cable tv network. said cable network bids to secure those rights and sends anyone else trying to watch certain games to **** off. fans get pissed. i was pissed that i pay for youtube TV and ballysports is only available as a standalone or on traditional cable. they had one of the playoffs games blacked out on TNT because i live in Arizona...a PLAYOFF game.

Yeah I wonder if youngheads realize you could watch local teams for free on regular broadcast TV for ages. Lakers used to split between cable and regular TV (all home games on Prime Ticket and all road games on local broadcaster KCAL) up until 2012 when time Warner/Spectrum took over all laker games.
