If KD stayed in Golden State:
Maybe win in 2021 - For sure the Warriors beat the Suns and would have ranked a lot higher than the playin. Klay was hurt though so who knows.
Win in 2022 100%.
Most likely win in 2023 as well.
Now KD is stuck on the Suns with a finished CP3, no bench, maxed out team salary, Ayton that wants out.
And Curry stuck with aging core + Jordan Poole.

He'll never admit it but KD eventually realized winning in GS was doing nothing for his legacy. Nobody cares if you win rings with 73-win rosters.
Of course, he bolted to BKN and tried to do the same shit all over again with Kyrie and Harden
The guy has 0 self awareness.
For the sake of the game though I'm glad he left GS. Those were some depressing years for anyone interested in watching competition.

Hasn't he come out and said he realized that he wasn't getting the credit he thought he would receive? Feel like I read this somewhere....

well duh, no one is disputing that. The point is it wasnt doing anything for him and probaby not fulfilling internally either. And the NBA was stale af.

People keep saying this, but the dude was CLEARLY unhappy in Golden State despite all the success they were having. He thought those titles would bring him the validation he was seeking but it in fact honestly did the opposite, he was called a snake, a cupcake, he was getting roasted at the ESPY's coming off a FMVP :lol
If 2 titles there didn't make him happy, what would 4 do? I actually give him props for trying to win on his own, and it NEARLY worked out 2 years ago.

Agreed.
KD ironically enough only left to "prove" he could win without them, but then proceeded to team hop with a bunch of superstars anyway.
He should've stayed.
Golden State was unbeatable with KD and Curry.

Taking into account the injuries that literally took KD, Steph and Klay out of entire seasons over the past 5 years, 2018 was likely the last title for that trio, unless KD had stayed around and was there in 2022. Him not leaving in 2019 would have unknown ripple effects for team personnel the following 3-4 years.

Exactly.
Now he lowered the bar and forced a trade to a 64 win team instead!

Well here is the thing.
People shat on him for going to Golden State and winning. They would continue to shit on him regardless unless he joins a shit team and wins them a chip, and that ain't happening in today's highly talented league.
I would have said **** it and kept winning and go for 5-6 championships.
Let the people cry while I rack the rings up.

KD has been irrelevant since leaving Warriors.
He did have a role in exposing the absurd ref help that Lebron got in Cavs, but that's all.

Cp3 is 38 years old, nearly finished as a player and still has 2 years left.
Suns are screwed.

The thing is...KD has literally been on stacked teams his entire career.

KD let people control the narrative on him.
I would have said this was a Shaq / Kobe situation and milk all the championships I could out of it. **** the haters.

Yep, refs were backing the Cavs big time

As I explained earlier, Durant is a liability on both team offense and team defense.
Look at my dozens of posts over the years or look at this summary of posts I made on how Durant's refusal to play defense caused the Suns the series loss against the Nuggets.
http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?511744-Okay-another-Kevin-Durant-year-goes-by-another-failed-run-in-the-books-let-s-talk&p=14775187#post14775187
Read in detail and watch the video examples I gave. Any shallow, surface-level response without looking at the details of Durant's liability on the defensive end is meaningless.
The Warriors had a better record in the Regular Season and Post-season when KD was injured. His defensive lapses and refusal to play team offense (screens, off-ball movement, active on each possession not hands on knees forcing GSW to go 4 on 5) cost the Warriors significantly. Same with the Nets and the Suns. It won't be any different on any other team.
At this point, only the pseudo-fans of the NBA who refuse to think can advance the notion of Durant being an asset. Leave that to posters on Yahoo and YouTube, not here.

The thing is...KD has literally been on stacked teams his entire career.
He also played for 4 different teams in 5 years before going pro. Including his college team that didn't even make the sweet sixteen.
Had he stayed with GS he could have gotten a few rings..but more importantly kept Lebron, Giannis and Curry from getting the sole credit for their rings. He will end his career as a top ten scorer he might even make top five but ten years after he retires he'll likely be another Gervin, Ewing, Barry etc.

KD has had the worst luck I've ever seen outside if Gokden State. Teams almost good enought to compete for rings but **** blocked by Westbrick, Irving, and injuries every year. He's played with the worst role players ever.
2 DOMINANT FMVPs, and he led the greatest team ever, and when you factor career stats hes easily in the top 10 though.

Meanwhile curry got picked on by everyone on the Lakers even Lonnie walker the 4th :oldlol: when are you gonna acknowledge that?

He would have got plenty of credit if he won with Kyrie and Harden. That wasn’t an already established team.

Never lol. Dingo mode!
