they should explore the rules.
even if the rules don't provide for it, they should make new rules and do it anyway.

Emshrink can stack up regular season awards, Joker's gunning for what really matters.

Retroactively give him the MVP for not even being in the top 15 scorers this year, being one of the slowest and least effective defenders at his position ?
Since Embiid was #1 in scoring and got 33 votes for All-Defense. Jokic got 0 votes.
Jokic is a great player who has got plenty of recognition already. Relax.

It's a regular season award. Now you can make an argument for Jokic over Embiid in the regular season to be sure but I point this out because the backlash to his playoff performance ignores the fact that the postseason has a different set of awards.

Absolutely. Everybody knows he was the real MVP and should have been all-NBA 1st team. Very similar to when he was almost drafted last at the all-star game. Hmmm, wonder what was going on there...
"All star draft fatigue" surely.

IMO, after you win your second one, the others don't really add to your legacy unless you add a title or at least make a finals appearance. In fact I think they start to work against you.
I would say Jokic's lack of playoff success was probably the main reason he didn't win it this year. I'll go so far as to say he probably won't win it again unless he makes it to the Finals.

So we just ignoring he got two MVP's and washed out of the playoffs earlier.
