We all know Red, Riley, Phil, & Pop are on the Mount Rushmore. Who gets the #5 spot?

You can put out names like Chuck Daly, Larry Brown, Holzman & Kerr.

He's close, one more ring and you can make a great argument for him.

I don’t know but he has proven himself to be a great coach. It helps that the Heat are such a legit ran franchise. They have won or went to the finals with 3 different cores since 2006. That’s pretty insane.

He knows a lot about basketball but his obsession with Gabe Vincent is mindboggling. It's impossible for me to rank him amongst coaches throughout history though, how tf would I do that? I'm a millenial :lol

I don't think his resume is enough. For example, even in the same era, his resume really can't beat Kerr even though I think Spo's the better coach.

Just based purely on resume it'd be hard to put him above Kerr imo, but he's undoubtedly a top 10 coach of all time by this point.

There are 6 head coaches who have more championships than him.

Gabe Vincent is an elite shooter who also plays defense. I trust spo knows a lot more about his personel than you do.

Agreed. Kerr will get the benefit of 4 championships. When you dig deeper and see who his roster was, you'll have a better appreciation for what Spolstra has done.

Spo has the most underrated come up. He started as a nobody game film video guy and then became HC of multiple title winners and underdog overachievers (in recent years).

Kerr is extremely intelligent but he was brought up through so many systems from the Bulls to the Spurs to the Suns to the Warriors.

Spo was seen as so intelligent that he raised through the ranks almost instantly. He's got that Asian IQ combined with conquistador mentality which makes sense given his genetic background.
