Austin Reaves deserves a Max contract. Great 3 and D player with ability to create

NBA teams need to see this kids potential. He’s the real deal and deserves a long term 20+ mill a season contract. Look at his play in his first NBA playoffs. He’s proven himself as a 3pt shooter, defender and offensive creator. Austin Reaves deserves better money than what the Lakers can offer him. One of the best up and coming young players.

Well he definitely ‘plays’ defense in terms of giving effort and being active. Hes just not particularly good at keeping his guy in front of him.

Compared to the Poole And Herro extensions, giving Austin 90mil seems like a bargain. Lakers should match regardless. Also reaves is very efficient in a lineup with AD and lebron. He’s not gonna have as much leeway or get favorable calls if he goes to the spurs for example. So I don’t think anyone is gonna throw an outrageous 100mil offer or anything. 90% sure Austin is a laker next season.

Reaves is not "great" in any way. He is a solid secondary ball-handler who can do a lot of things well but he's still a little inconsistent. He's also not that young. He's not like Franz Wagner who is 20 and has a lot of room for improvement still.
