I believe that puts him slightly ahead of Pop for highest paid coach in the league. Not that coach salary really matters.

Crazy what one coaching gig can do for your rep. Wasn't he the New Orleans coach not doing much before Phoenix?

I thought he was a good coach in New Orleans. Never thought Doc Rivers was anything special and he continues to get recycled over and over again

Wow.

Why is it that these coaches are just getting recycled around the league?

Why doesn't a team go for an experienced college coach like Boston did a little while back?

Crazy. Didn't imagine he'd end up with a lottery team.

"No! It's not right. Only coaches I deem to be geniuses like Nick Nurse, Gregg Popovich, Budhenholzer, Brad Stevens, or even Urban Meyer deserve that much. Black coaches are only there to relate to the black players, not have a brilliant coaching mind!"

I can only guess that most teams have owners that are not serious about winning.

They just want a babysitter that can keep egos in check and keep the money rolling in.

Cause the players don't respect them.

Which is a problem with leadership in the league.

I liked Alvin Gentry better he made them play at a very frenetic pace

The pistons should spend some money on the roster instead
