In the biggest game of his career. In what probably was his most impressive playoff run.

Larry shot 6-18. :lol

Parish shot 4-16. :lol

Mchale shot 4-6 for 10 pts. :lol

Luckily they got bailed out by Cedric Maxwell and Dennis Johnson.

People tend to forget all time greats pooped the bed too from time to time.

Look at that elite efficiency from McHale. Unstoppable down low.

Those who are helplessly braindead will literally call it a 'choke', even though his team ended up winning the game.

Watched that game in full a couple years ago. Celtics shot 51 FTs in that game somehow. Don't feel like digging into it but that has to be a record.

I know there was a game in 2000 where Shaq had 39 by himself.

Waiting for full court to label this as a choke.

It seems like alot of great players struggle shooting in game 7s. I get it, the physicality is at its peak, defenses are more locked in etc. With that said, Kareem usually delivered in game 7s which doesn't get discussed alot.

Magic was 5-14 shooting in that game btw

You're right about that. Kareem usually in the playoffs steps it up. It doesn't get talked about much.

He had a perfect free throw percentage, going 8 for 8 from the line, and grabbed 12 rebounds.

While it may not have been his most exceptional game, the team as a whole struggled with their shooting. Although I haven't personally watched the game, I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it was a choke job due to anxiety and nervousness. I might be wrong, but I would first rather watch the game before I come to any conclusion.

If Cedric Maxwell didn't have the game of his life, outplaying three of the top 10 GOAT by quite a significant margin, Celtic most likely would've lost.

Also, he told the Boston players just before that game 7, "You b*tches get on my back. I'm going to carry you" :lol

Waiting for full court to label this as a choke.

Full Court is going to meet Jesus soon if he continues hating on LeBron. One massive heart attack and Jesus is going to send him straight to hell

I don't think Jesus gets to decide that. Could be wrong tho

Larry is a GOAT but a little overrated as a playoff performer compared to other GOATs. It's a huge shame that injuries and HIV killed Bird's and Magic's careers prematurely.

This is ISH. It's a choke job whenever someone misses a shot.

Bird is mystified like Kobe. He had plenty of stinkjobs and mental shortcomings.

You wouldnt hear the end of it if Bron did something like this.

Of course he never would do it.

Bird may have had a bad game but did he have slurpers hailing him as the hero in every game while trashing on his teammates?

Tbf virtually every ATG has shot badly in Game 7 of the Finals

Magic: 5/14
Hakeem: 10/25
Duncan: 10/27
LeBron: 9/24
Curry: 6/19

And we all know Kobe’s.

Brons is OKAY-ish.

Consider he was fouled/whacked on that one layup and its 9/23 aka 39%. Bad but for these ATG game 7 standards, okay.

Got to the line.

And of course the defense but were talking shooting here.

Kareem in this game had 29 points on 12 of 22 shooting. What if LA had won this game and Kareem had been FMVP in 1984 and 1985 as well? Kareem actually won the FMVP in 1980 after Magic's great game 6. A what if question = Kareem with 4 FMVP and 7 rings?? Where would he rank?? He was so close to pulling it off...
