While Denver is trying to win a chip , a rare occurrence has happened in NBA history -

They make a trade : https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/37826075/sources-nuggets-get-package-picks-deal-thunder

pretty darn smart.

Shrewd move IMO. The window is open now and theyre over the cap, might as well swap some future picks for immediate picks they can use to add depth. Especially with new CBA rules making it harder for tax teams to sign veteran free agents.

Nuggets are in a great position seeing as they have their core of Jokic/Murray/MPJ/Gordon on the payroll for the next 3 seasons. Is there a team that has as much future roster stability as the nuggets? Perhaps the Celtics after extending brown?
