Based on who you want for a playoff series right now today.

These are not regular season rankings. We are not putting Jayson Tatum in the top 5. We are not putting Embiid and Giannis top 3 (unless you really feel that way, which is fine I guess).

Consider what youve seen guys do in the playoffs for their career, and list who you would take TODAY. It’s not a resumé contest, it’s a making an impact right now contest, but factor in everything youve seen til now and pick the player you want to draft if you HAVE to win a series right now.

Lets go:

1. Lebron
2. Jokic
3. Kawhi
4. Luka

Now it gets tough.

5. Curry?
6. Lillard?
7. Giannis?
8. Booker?
9. Murray?
10. …

The value I put on heart and mental toughness in the playoffs, Im not sure I take Durant or Embiid over BAM at present, let alone Jimmy or Brunson. There are some guys I just see as “Zero value, I dont care what stats theyve put up or awards theyve gotten, I dont even want them for free.” A la Westbrook, Harden and Irving. I dont put Durant and Embiid in that category, but I do weigh psyche heavily and that moves them down below other guys they have better paper credentials than.

Anyway, point is, thats my list of best players at the moment. Thats how I determine who the best players are.

JUST. SO. YOU. KNOW.

Congratulations to the Denver Nuggets! Let's all give them the spotlight they've earned.

It's a pretty dynamic list though. Changes drastically every season with the new information we get. 6-9 is so close to me that's why i made this thread to see what people think. http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?512461-Rank-these-guys-Tatum-Doncic-Butler-and-AD&p=14793174
I even changed my mind slightly.
Edit: Asterisks are for injury prone players.

I'm disappointed how butler finished. Went from MJ to derozan. Heat only lost by a bucket with him playing like trash. Goes to show how much endurance matters since the Bucks and Celtics had way better defense than the Nuggets. He was worn out by Finals time after that gauntlet.

Doesn't help he had to play 2 extra play in games just to make the playoffs in the first place. He seemed to have given everything he had in that Bucks series, while he played perfectly fine the rest of the East playoffs, he never came close to approaching that level of play the rest of the postseason, and bombed quite badly in the Finals.
