It would be interesting to see Jokic in previous eras of real bigs and real basketball.. And Gordon or Porter are both Pippen-caliber talents that are playing a lower option than Pippen played alongside MJ - Pippen was only a 2nd option alongside MJ and otherwise was a 3rd to 7th option
Joker did it in a tougher era.

Joker did it in a tougher era.
Easier passing via open paint and spacing - more advantages for great players to take advantage of in this era

Pippen was such trash that, when Jordan left the team, all his stats went up, and the team dropped all the way from 57 to 55 wins. The next year, without Jordan, Pippen led the team in every major statistical category. Of course, when the scrub Grant left, it made no difference and the team got 47 wins. (Dropped 2 when Jordan left, dropped another 7 when Grant left, even with Jordan's 1/4 season return.)
He was not just otherwise a 3rd to 7th option without Jordan. For a year and three quarters, he was the man on a depleted team, and he fared pretty well, especially that first year.
Make up another narrative. This one gets tired.

Notice you left out the rebounding stats. And Jokik didn't defeat Butler - the Nuggets beat the Heat. Similarly, the Bulls beat the Lakers. It's a team game, no matter how much you want to turn it into something else.

Jordan played the 39 win Knicks, the 44 win Sixers and then an ageing Pistons squad that won 50 games and barely won their first round match up.
Denver beat 2 teams that were favoured against them - Phoenix and Lakers directly during the series start. Lakers had the 2nd best record post trades/All Star break. Phoenix had Booker/Durant/Paul/Ayton as a super team.

Do you really think the game of professional basketball has gotten less competitive in the last 30 years?
It's been less competitive in the last 15 years due to rivals and franchise players teaming up on 1 team (super-teams)
It's easier to win titles as 1 of 2 super-teams in a top-heavy league, rather than being 1 of many good teams in a parity league..
In the 90's, there were MANY 2-star teams that had a good chance to make the Finals, while recent years have seen 2 stacked super-teams with automatic tickets to the Finals.

Isiah, Dumars and Rodman were 27-29 years old when MJ swept them, while the Big 3 Celtics were 32-34 in when Lebron lost as a massive favorite with his Year 7 organic juggernaut.
Those Cavs basically WERE the nuggets of that time, but they didn't win the title because Lebron averaged 21 on 34% for the last 3 games to lose a 2-1 lead against the fossil Celtics - this historic choke is the only reason the Cavs lost.. Then Lebron followed it up with another choke in 2011.. He's a meltdown machine.
So it isn't easy beating a veteran champion as Lebron found out in 2010, so Jordan's destruction of the long-standing organic champion deserves more respect than Jokic's run over teams that were thrown together at the last minute.. Btw, the 2010 Cavs had 3 scoring options (only 2 for MJ's Bulls), while Shaq would've instantly started on any Bulls team and been the best center MJ ever had - so don't complain about roster - the Cavs had more scoring options, better team defense and better bigs.

I could have the computer play the computer on NBA 2k23 see what would happens. I was flipping thru the centers in modern era, trying to pick a team with one to match up with him and it's like... ??...??... he's got no comp at C. Shaq had teams signing people to guard him so nobody can say that. They would foul him. LOL. It's like... think about that for a second. You got two bums on your bench for extra fouls to throw at shaq or to bang with him for 8 minutes. Nobody can bang with me for 48 - Shaq. I just feel like Shaq would physically bodybag him. He would get discouraged.
Like loool video game, but troll thred get trolled, I put a cpu v cpu game good sliders and Jokic got outplayed by Ewing. I put on 1972 Lakers and chamberlain ate his ****ing lunch. His first fade away was so contested he did like a seizure animation. There's nobody like that in the league right now. That's a real center, and you need those. They should prol play like Jokic but some guy who is bigger, stronger and skilled with some IQ would smash his face into the ground. I say that as a Joker fan. I'd love to be proven wrong. WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO SIMULATE?!
Edit: like even Wemby would prol kill Joker's scoring or Manute. He isn't good at making power moves. I know yall gonna hate. I don't watch. I don't watch much. I've seen what I saw and if he ain't bringing his best shit in the finals then **** him.

Jokic didn't need Pippen to win:kobe:
Jokic is still a passer like Magic or Lebron, so he needs ridiculous and expensive scoring help just like they did, and therefore more sophisticated, high-producing players than the role players that Jordan needed.
Specifically, Jokic needed an elite-producing "closer" to nearly co-lead the playoff scoring - he also needed 2 athletic, 17-point wing scorers at 3rd and 4th option that MJ never had - MJ had these things at 2nd option (pippen), but not 3rd or 4th option.
It's interesting because Jokic's skillset requires the GM to find an elite closer, so his skillset makes the closer role very important, whereas mj WAS the closer and his skillset made the passing role relatively UNimportant - MJ had far less passing help than other 90's stars.. To summarize, MJ needed less help because he was the closer (while Jokic needs a closer) and MJ's skillset didn't need passing help either, or less than his peers.. aka Kobe didn't need any passing help and MJ was like that as well, but Pippen's' 5 APG just happened to be there (still less passing help than other stars enjoyed).
Btw, by saying Jordan "needed" Pippen, you're punishing him for setting the goat standard of winning with the first all-star he received and never needing another one, while everyone else in history needed MANY all-star teammates but still won less.. And Pippen wasn't an elite producer or franchise player like many other sidekicks such as Kareem, Kobe, Curry, Wade, Kawhi, Drexler, AD or #1 pick like Kyrie - these guys were elite producers and franchise players, while Pippen was a system player and not even a 2nd option without the goat scorer (3rd to 7th option without MJ).. If Pippen is the best scorer on a team, the team will fall out of contention QUICKLY due to lack of talent, even a 3-peat dynasty as we saw in 95'.

In short what you're saying is mj took waaaayyy too many shots to allow another scorer alongside him? Agreed, so Mj needed the most specific help in nba history to win. He literally needed a guy that could do it all. Every other great just needed other guys that could put it in the bucket now and then and they took care of the rest. Jokic needed Murray score and pass more than Pippen (10.0 APG in Finals)
The lack of scoring help forced MJ to average 5 more points than all the best scorers in playoff history like Durant, Lebron, Kobe and West.. That's absurd, which is why MJ's cast was bad.. He had less scoring and passing help than other 90's 1st options and FAR worse bigs (rim protection & rebounding).

Jamal Murray ain't a better talent than early 90s Pippen. He had a super hot spot vs LA but in general he's not as talented. You're discounting the momentum jokic gives his teammates. Pippen is overrated but his stand alone value as a super iggy is more valuable.

You think peak Iguoudala is better than Murray?
No way
Murray just had his 2nd playoff run of 26-27 ppg and he was occasionally the best player in various series either this year or previous runs.. Iggy or Pippen could never be the best player in a series over a top franchise player like Jokic, Shaq, Duncan, MJ, Lebron, Kobe, Luka, Embiid, etc, etc, et
Btw, a guy like Andrew Wiggins was a prodigal #1 pick and more talented than Pippen, aka Jordan would've gotten higher levels from Wiggins than we saw from Pippen - this is true for tons of guys including studs like Dominique or Worthy (if they had landed alongside Jordan), or lesser guys like Danny Manning, Reggie Lewis, Len Bias, Roy Tarpley, Bam, Porzingas, Iguodala and tons of other guys that we could easily come up with.
Pippen entered the league as an 8-point puppy, while everyone else just mentioned was much better and often considered MORE talented (Bias, Manning, Wiggins, Porzingas, etc).. Wiggins entered the league as a 20 ppg player that just needed someone to bring out the prodigal talent that he had.. He never got it until later from an old Curry.. Meanwhile, Pippen got the guidance as a rookie and was elevated to a production level comparable to Wiggins, whereas Wiggins was already there and could've gone higher with someone to light that fire.
Guys like Aaron Gordon, Horace Grant, Dennis Rodman, Jeff Green, Iggy, Jason Richardson (or even Bruce Brown is like a shorter version) - these guys are just athletes and that's the class that I put Pippen in - I'm not saying he would be Horace Grant if he didn't land alongside Jordan - I'm saying he would only be a somewhat better like say an Iggy, but still the same class of player (athlete/dunker/defender).
He just happened to land next to a "god in basketball shoes" and 35/6/6/DPOY that was destined for goatness - that's it - that's the only difference between Pippen and Iguodala, Porzingas, Wiggins and players of that caliber.
His handle was only a LITTLE BETTER than the aforementioned players (Gordon probably has a better handle tbh) - people have this idea that Pippen's handle was MUCH better than say, Horace Grant.. It wasn't.. It was just a little better.. He could barely crossover and gather-step in the halfcourt - barely.. that was his caliber.

Defenders like Pippen cost a couple million, while Murray cost 30 million - even if we adjust for era, Murray is still paid like the elite scorer that he is, while Pippen is just an athlete/defender and paid as such.. He's extremely replaceable by any good athlete, while his marginal scoring or assists can be made up elsewhere.
For example, if Murray replaced Pippen on the Bulls, he would actually replace Paxson, while Pippen would be replaced by any number of athletes/defenders
Otoh, Murray cannot be replaced by Pippen on the Nuggets - Jokic needs an elite-scoring/shooting clutch assassin that can be an equal-scoring partner - these things are the opposite of Pippen..
The real question is whether Pippen would even be 3rd option on the Nuggets... Gordon and Porter averaged 17 ppg in the regular season, which is above Pippen's career average - they would all be battling for the 3rd option role and it would alternate each night probably.

So Jordan. The only people who would say otherwise are Bronie fluffers who are upset that their hero got swept like a dirty chimney."
Which part do you think is "dishonest"? That the '91 Lakers were better than the '23 Heat? Or that Lebron got swept? Not a good look for your intellect, is it?
You're coming off like a sore loser. :lol

If my memory serves me correctly, I believe the Bulls were underdogs to the Lakers in '91. But now clowns on here are trying to push the narrative that the Lakers were some collection of scrubs.
:lol Pathetic.

The dishonesty comes from implying that your point actually matters.
I’m not arguing any factual inaccuracies or whatever.
I’m also a big fan of Joker so I’m not sure what I’ve lost.

Both GOAT playoff runs.
Yolk would give MJs teams problems because of his stoicism and not being enamored by anybodys celebrity.
But Jordan would likely put his ass on a poster. :lol MJ makes Jimmy Butler look like he's moving in molasses. His explosiveness and quickness and finishing ability would crucify Denvers rim protection.
