Kim Jong Il was a huge fan of basketball. In 2006, the former North Korean leader introduced new rules to improve the game:

- Slam Dunks are worth 3 points.
- 3 pointers are worth 4 points if it’s ‘nothing-but-net’
- 1 point is deducted for every missed free-throw

I can honestly see this working and make the game more exciting.

Would Shaq be better or worse under these conditions?

Is this for real?

I love the idea of a slam dunk being worth 3 points. That would negatively impact players like Steph Curry who dunk rarely, but overall it would impute true value to the dunk -it's already a fan favorite but the value is minimized by making it count the same as a mid-range.

You also see teams give up the dunk oftentimes; maybe they would contest things more.

Overall the slam dunk is the signature exciting move of the NBA - it's about time for it to count as much as perhaps the 2nd most exciting part of the game - the 3 pointer.

And for the WNBA, make it 5 points just given the level of difficulty.

I don't like the -1 for the missed free throw. It would just encourage more fouling.

No such thing as blood money, you can take it and use it for a good cause. If you are dying and a corpse is on the ground you eat it. If people gain from money that would have been spent on bullshit. TBH since everyone else is ****ing around we should ally with the terrorists. At least they are down to ride. It's like how much of RUSSIA do you want lol.

aiyyeee

Edit: lol I said aiye at my post cuz... but I did a kblaze and missed the point. Wap. But I thought I said IF like if he tried to fund the league or some shit for nefarious reasons. We need to worry about the people who can actually **** with us. That's how real shit is now lol. That's how we need to start thinking. At least entertain it. Start training now haha. Like I said about Trump. Start training for it.

How many free throws if fouled on a missed dunk?

Imagine this scenario:

The Bucks are up by 1 with 5 seconds left in the game, they have last possession, and the other team is over the foul limit.

They foul Giannis with 1 second left, he misses both his free throws, so the Bucks end up losing by 1.

It would make for really weird games.

A slam dunk should be worth 10 points considering how no Koreans can reach the rim.

I would just make anything beyond half court 4 points.... but if you get fouled, it's still only 3 shots at the free throw line.

A half court shot really should be 4 points.

The changes suggested in the OP are too much... and if you were really going to implement them, you'd have to do include half a point.

dunks = 2.5
swish from 3 = 3.5
missed free throw = -0.5
