Let me explain…

Years ago I was listening to some player I can’t remember talk about the difference between guarding Lebron and Kobe and he mentioned watching the last 50. Apparently as a scouting tool video teams keep track of the last 50 field goals a player made so you can get a feel for what he’s been favoring lately and how he scores. Like a quick refresh if you have to guard him today. Video scout can pull up his last 50 and you can watch it in like 3 minutes.

Good tool.

He talked about how Kobe’s last 50 didn’t help you because it’s always different. He might take 50 different shots from different places. Not his exact words but you get it.

Obviously if you watch someone like PJ Tuckers last 50(I’d imagine the video team would hate you for making them assemble it) it’s probably 39 corner 3s, some putbacks, and a layup or 2. You know exactly what he’s gonna do and how to prevent it. If you watch Devin Booker? Lot more variety.

Who do you imagine would have a last 50 these days that does you the least good? That shows you the least repeated spots and moves?

bron’s last 50 would be entertaining as ****

all sloppy crashes into the lane and poor quality heaves from 3

That’s essentially what the guy said but he worded it nicer. Like Lebron was hard to stop because he’s good at the few things he does not because you don’t know what’s coming.

I think Kyrie would be as good a choice as any.
