almost immediately when Mat Ishbia stepped in officially as the owner, he had to clarify Isiah Thomas was just his close friend and that he would have no formal role in the team. Apparently IT does not bode well for social justice warriors.
Anyhow, CP3 went crying to the media, more specifically the NEW YORK TIMES, that it was Mat and IT who made the decision to move on from him. :facepalm
NEW: Sat down with Chris Paul this morning for a lengthy chat in NYC. He said he found out about the trade via a text message from his 14 year old son. Cited multiple times that that Mat Ishbia and *Isiah Thomas* wanted to go in a different direction.
