View Full Version : Would a “Heat Culture” soaked Zach Lavine be great?

It’s being reported the Bulls want a good young player and multiple picks for him. He’s 27 and locked up for 3/4 years(player option). Herro, filler, and two picks make the Heat anything they aren’t now?
As a Bulls fan I’m indifferent. Guy is nice but this era is clearly not going anywhere.
One guy is certainly going to be pissed off if lavine somehow ends up being there. But yes, having herro and some draft picks will be potential in building a new, young core for the bulls. Will be nice having a guy that at least has some deep postseason experience.
Sadly, it looks like lonzo ball has lost his overall value and will never be the same player he once was anymore. :ohwell:

Yeah I think he could be a nice addition on the Heat if he’s willing to give up a few shots per game.
He’s another one of those guys you dont run the offense THROUGH if youre trying to have any kind of meaningful success, but if you add him to a team that already has the basic components in place, he gives a nice extra punch. Like Wiggins on the Warriors, altho more offensively oriented rather than a two way impact.
Gives them a bit more size than the Beal or Herro types etc, which I think the Heat can use.

Am I the only one that thinks their biggest need is a big? He's an upgrade from Herro so if they can make a deal happen they're then sure do it but a big of similar trade value would have a bigger impact.

LaTrine has actually impressed me with what he has become since a rookie which might be more a reflection of the decline or change in the style of the nba.
I wouldn't be surprised if Riley could turn him into a Mario Chalmers but Jimmy butthurt must go, even though he is no longer homeless he is still a bum.

Personally, I don't think Lavine would be great anywhere. The more I watch him, the more convinced I am that a big part of the blame for the Bulls sucking falls on him and his lack of ability to boost a team. I just hope the Bulls get rid of him.

a big is a necessity ... if they strike out on Dame (which is likely), go after KP and maybe Dwight as backup. Dwight would have been useful for a few teams this past playoffs -- Lakers and Heat, most glaring -- not sure why he's not stateside

If Spo and Jimmy teach him to defend? He would be an MVP candidate.
