I'd rather have Brogdon.

This is really good for Boston. Porzingis was wizards best player last year and only has a year left. Is injury prone but was healthy last year. You can’t rely on horford to play 35mpg and timelord can’t play many minute either. You have enough guards with smart and white handling the ball, brogdon was the worst out of the 3 and injury prone.

Good for clippers too they get brogdon to start at pg for very little. Finally wizards will likely get a 1st from Boston can’t complain

Clippers with more good moves.

Will it ever pay off though? lol

I'm not sure what to make of this. Does it make Boston better? I don't know. Who do you start alongside Zinger? Horford or Williams?

KP was good for us fwiw. He isn't a ball stopper he tries to play the right way.

it's a good swap if Horford is moving on...but Boston needs a true PG more than anything to get over the hump to me.

I think cp3 could get some use for that only if he was a lot younger and not injury prone.

KP's post-up game is actually pretty good now. He used to be terrible in Dallas. That provides a dynamic to Boston's half-court offense that they didn't really have.

Kristaps Porzinigis 2023 Post-Up Stats:

- 4.0 post touches per game
- 3.4 post-up possessions per game
- 1.18 points per possession
- 58% FG
- 23.2% FT frequency
- 9.5% TO frequency

Here's how it compares to Jokic:

Nikola Jokic 2023 Post-Up Stats:

- 9.1 post touches per game
- 5.2 post-up possessions per game
- 1.22 points per possession
- 65.5% FG
- 21.4% FT frequency
- 15.6% TO frequency

Agreed, I really like this for Boston.

KP and Time Lord is a nasty rim protection combo, and if they can keep Horford for his man-to-man defensive toughness, that big rotation will give teams fits.

If they can package Brown, Gallo, and another 1st into an upgrade at starting SG theyll def look like the team to beat.

Boston continues to stack their team...on paper, and probably have it never materialize.

Nice get for Clippers. Brogdon fits their style quite well and gives them another person who can handle the rock.

Wizards probably getting two 2nd rounders or something :lol

So they prioritized cap space over taking back salary and getting picks. Pretty bad decision in my opinion to care about cap space when you don't have any players.

I like Brogdon but the Celtics just shifted value from an overloaded position to an area where they could use a little more depth. The frontcourt will need more load management but get this team to the playoffs healthy and there should be no stopping it.

A issue might be that they lack a true facilator to run the offense

Jaylen and Tatum are proven turnover machines and Smart isn't really a point guard

Yeah they need to trade Brown. Replace him with a savvier vet like Jeru (The Damaga) or Stephon Urquelle. Ofc neither is really a true point themselves but it’s still an upgrade in overall fit. Maybe even try to swing a trade for Reaves if the Lakers dont think theyll be able to keep him.

The Wizards are still working on ways to get Kristaps Porzingis to the Celtics in an opt-in and trade scenario, but it won't be in a three-way with the Clippers, sources tell ESPN. Porzingis still has the ability to decline his $36 million player option and become a free agent.

Celtics still have White & Brogdon to replace Smart, both have PG experience & White is a pretty damn good defender himself.

He was their leader and you have to wonder how Boston will replace that, but from a basketball standpoint they added a 7 footer who gives you 23/8 and some rim protection, they already have some players who could somewhat replace Smart & you add a legit big to a team that desperately needed one. Horford is like 37 and Williams is always injured. I like the move overall for the Celtics.

I can now enjoy Celtics beautiful offense without that cancer Marcus Smart killing the flow. Porzingis also does best in a fast paced ball movement offense like Celtics have. We saw flashes of this in Dallas whenever that ballhogger Luka Doncic missed games.

Im Still Ballin
06-22-2023, 02:32 AM
He has a really complete offense game now. A three-level scorer who can create off the dribble and do damage in the post (1.18 PPP). The post-up game will give them more options on switches and in broken play and clutch situations.

134 games in Dallas
3-10 feet: 38.9% FG (14.3% of offense)
10-16 feet: 39.2% FG (17.5% of offense)

82 game in Washington
3-10 feet: 50.7% FG (22.7% of offense)
10-16 feet: 48.8% FG (16.5% of offense)

Nice. Boston should be moderately strong favorites.

Kristaps Porzingis stats from his career-best season:

Points Allowed Per Pick-and-Roll
1. Anthony Davis (0.91)
2. Steven Adams (0.92)
3. Giannis Antetokounmpo (0.92)
4. Kristaps Porzingis (0.93)
5. Walker Kessler (0.93)

One of the best drop P&R defenders in the NBA.

And on offense:

Top Post Scorers
1. Kristaps Porzingis (1.29)
2. Nikola Jokic (1.26)
3. Luka Doncic (1.15)
4. Joel Embiid (1.11)
5. Pascal Siakam (1.11)

Finally figured out how to score from the post. And from the perimeter attacking closeouts.

Points Per Closeout
1. Kawhi Leonard (1.32)
2. Brandon Ingram (1.26)
3. Luka Doncic (1.25)
4. Harrison Barnes (1.24)
5. Kristaps Porzingis (1.23)

These are all via @SecondSpectrum

So KP shoots 40% on spot up 3s, kills defenses when he attacks closes out, can now post up with efficiency, and he’s a good defender. Health will always be a concern but he just had his best season of his career. This could be his prime.
