And his max contract he can receive from the Bucks is only 54 million for three years due to the “over 38” rule in the cba limiting his end of deal pay.
The entire league should be in on him at those prices. I’d rather have Brook Lopez for 18 than a lot of “stars”.

i think you don't hear a lot about it bc it's expected for him to stay in milwaukee. but yeah, i'd rather have him at 38 than current ayton.

Yeah but the issue is who has cap space? Whatever small handful of teams have any I would imagine are the ones rebuilding.
I dont see who can make an offer for him. A team like Dallas or NYK that could use him dont have a lot to give in a sign and trade.

Yea few have the space but everyone could make it happen with a sign and trade if he wanted to be there. Financially I mean. He’s paid peanuts by modern standards. He’d be a key guy for anyone trying to win. I’d call even I expected him to tell me no.

It would be hard for a contender to get the Bucks to participate in a sign and trade. For example they aren't going to make the Heat any better even at the risk of losing Lopez for nothing. And if tor team isn't in contention do you real want him as a future building block? So it's not that simple. My guess is that he's like Horford was in his recent contract signing where he doesn't want to go anywhere and the team wants to keep him so he takes that 54 mil.

I wouldn’t imagine they would help the Heat but I wouldn’t call the Bucks I’d call Brook and his agent. It’s not tampering when he’s unrestricted. He’s probably got some respect in the organization. He’s a California kid. I’d make him a retirement pitch if I’m any California team and hope they respect him enough to let him retire on his terms and take back…I don’t know…Zubac…some young Laker…be a good time to still have Wiseman as the warriors. Bucks would take something like that and let Lopez maybe help you win another ring before you blow it up. There are teams out west that can make a reasonable offer if they don’t mind helping Brook out.

He’d be kinda nice on the Kings in Harrison Barnes’ spot. Not sure if he fits their timeline on when they expect to contend tho.
