Bad fits or Stockton isn't enough help?

Cheap owner, Stockton's unselfishness, Sloan playing his faves... Same issues

Yeah but Malone almost won with that stuff twice against a goat team, so surely lebron can win a bunch with Stockton, unless it's a bad fit..
A bad fit is a certainty since Malone scored 36k as the roll-man and off-ball with deft mid-range touch - that's the opposite of lebron's game, which is closer to Luka-ball

Certainly not an ideal fit having Stockton and Horny and company play strictly off the ball. The Jazz were in the finals because they played as a team. Hard to imagine Sloan coaching Lebron. Deron wouldn't run Sloan's plays. Lebron setting picks like Stockton? Pick and roll vs iso?

Agreed, what a waste because Stockton was a high win share player and you lose more win share with him as a spot-up shooter than you gain by having Lebron instead of Malone..
For this reason (bad fit), any statistical projection of a Jazz team with Lebron/Stockton would be significantly lower than the actual Jazz with Malone/Stockton.. For example, the 98' Jazz needed a true PF to defeat Duncan/Popovich and Shaq's 4 all-star Lakers, and also beat Hakeem.. Lebron's perimeter ball-dominance is redundant with Stockton and the opposite of what they needed to beat all those goat bigs (they needed a true big of their own, not another ball-dominator).

Let’s be serious.
Lebron would be a bench player in that era. He is too soft and too brittle
Probably cry and get his ass beat up in the locker room if he dares to do that flopping shit

Depends on if Bran has to do the same primitive 80’s roids Malone did… or if he can has his modern high tech slew of potions from the 21st century ….

8th straight nba titles in the 1990’s. Lebron beat superior teams than Jordan in the nba finals. Please remember Jeff Malone was also playing for the Jazz from 1989 to 1994.

Klay and Dray hadn't been all-stars yet heading into the 15' season, so they barely beat an injured Cavs team that year and then lost the next year, while the veteran Jazz swept Shaq's 4 all-star Lakers and Duncan/Popovich to make the 98' Finals..
So Jordan would have much easier carry-jobs against the 1st-timer Warriors than the 10-year organic juggernauts coming from the 90's West (best parity of all-time).. Any team that won that conference was an organic juggernaut with everything going for them that year to make it out of the conference.. Jordan beat 6 freight trains without another go-to teammate.

MJ needed a top 5 pick to get out of the first round.
Pip only needed a 6th rounder who had been out of the league for 2yrs, to get out of the first round.
