What Kristaps Porzingis brings to the Celtics

I'm thinking that the biggest thing Kristaps Porzingis brings to the Celtics is offensive versatility. so they don't have to rely entirely on Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown to completely carry the offensive production.

What kind of defensive player is he, though?

Kristaps reportedly will be eligible for a two-year, $77 million extension on July 6.

He's a player that can get hot, but requires frequent touches in the high post.

On defense, he is an excellent help defender and an excellent rim protector. Weak rebounder.

His level is between Tatum and Brown so he'd be like the Paul Pierce to KG and Allen.

I think he'll be great and offer an outlet on offense when the Celtics get into their spurts where they are stagnant.

As long as White/Brogdon are healthy for the playoffs...the Celtics should lose a manageable amount via guard play...and gain a ton with KP on both ends.

Low-key the Celtics are likely banking on Pritchard. He was wanting to be traded somewhere where he would have a meaningful role. With Smart gone and Brogdon likely to miss a lot of games Pritchard is going to be sixth man for a lot of games and start when Brown or White is out. He may now be ok with returning as a possible 20mpg player and offensively he's a capable player. Unfortunately he's too small to cover positions other than pg so switching is a problem but overall I wouldn't mind seeing him get this opportunity.
