This is gonna be a weird ass list.
Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf will be higher than Kevin Johnson the way this first crop is looking. Jeff Teague will be like number 28 and Bob Cousy like 27.
The battle for number 57. Kenny Smith or Jason Terry. Who is the real Jet.

He was the PG for most of Houston years. He was the one bringing the ball up and had the ball all the time creating.

If that's the case, everyone is a point guard.

One of the most overrated "all-time greats". Inefficient scorer for a good chunk of his career, always had a streaky jumper (Isiah's HS coach in Hoop Dreams even states this), didn't provide defense, & wasn't even an All-NBA player when Detroit was winning titles.

We all know why he wasn't an All-NBA player when Detroit was making the Finals.
I mean the guys over him being selected were all acceptable besides Dale Ellis. Everyone is a Hall of Famers besides Price and KJ. And I mean, his teammate Joe Dumars was selected over him in 90 and 91. Should he have been? Hell nah.

Also, was it you or I'm Still Ballin who said All-NBA Teams don't matter? Surprised you're bring it up now.

If CP3 is getting some consideration then so should Stockton. All-time assists and steals leader, 11x All-NBA, 9x assist champ, 5x all-defensive.

I can go along with 1 and 2 and maybe 3, but then I'd put Stockton, Kidd, CP3 in that order.

Also, if you put Westbrook in the top 10, you might as well put Luka, both have won similar amounts of rings.

I would put Frazier above Stock and CP3. He had that dog in him, what did he drop in game 7???

Underrated for sure, especially these days.

He gets underrated in modern times but his longevity was nowhere near Stocktons or CP3s. He’d have to have been a noticeably better player to have a case over them career wise. There was a time CP3 was being debated by some people as the best player in the league after peak LeBron as well.

I can see an argument for Frazier as a top five PG, he's likely the second best pure PG in NBA history behind Stockton. He did an incredible job balancing those Knicks teams. Nash in the top five let alone top ten is crazy to me, he was good but he never made the finals and he played with better talent than everyone on that list (short of Russ).

Also Tiny Archibald was the best PG in the league for a good five years and changed his game to win a ring in Boston. He belongs in the top ten over Nash and Westbrook.

I can't respect any list that doesn't have Bob Cousy in the Top 5. He literally revolutionized the game.

Revolutionized ball handling, revolutionized passing, was nicknamed "Houdini of the Hardwood".

6x champion, 13x all-star, won league MVP, led the league in assists 8 years in a row.

Seems like a total disregard for history to not have him in the upper echelon.

Archibald didn't even make the playoffs when he led the league in points & assists.

I don't have a problem with people ranking Cousy in the top ten...top five is a bit much. The guy before Cousy Jim Pollard has seven championships (5 NBA, 1 NBL, 1 NCAA) and Pollard never gets any love on these lists.

You don't say....who did make the playoffs that year...

Bucks - Kareem/Oscar
Lakers - Wilt/West
Warriors - Thurmond/Barry

1 spot was open in the west, and who was the second best player on his team. When Tiny played with an all-time great he won a championship the thing Nash never won in college, pros, or the Olympics.

And I repeat who is the second best PG to not make a finals appearance.

Forget the playoffs, he led his team to a 36-46 record, nowhere close to sniffing the playoffs.

Nash was leading his team to the WCF without Amare and winning MVP during his prime.

He was awarded the MVP he didn't win it people gave it to him. But you keep ducking the question who is the next best PG to not make an NBA finals. Do you not have an opinion or do you not know.

I'll be honest, I've never even heard of him. I'm assuming he was the next best player on the Lakers after Mikan?

Cousy revolutionized the game, revolutionized the point position and was the face of the league for a brief period. His nickname was "Mr. Basketball". Very few players on this list can measure up to his impact on the game.

With all due respect to the guys who usually occupy the 5-10 slots on these lists (Nash, Kidd, Stockton, etc)... they really don't rank next to Cousy. He was greater during his time than they were during theirs by far.
