BREAKING: All-Star G Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers are agreed on a five-year, designated maximum contract extension that could be worth up to $260 million, his agents Dave Spahn and Aaron Mintz of @CAASports tell ESPN. Haliburton is fully the franchise cornerstone now.

So um have a good year as a semi all star and you are now the franchise player for many years. Sheesh!

sacramento dumb as hell for trading him. 52 is tomorrow's 30m. when he's due for a contract re-up, 50 will be too low.

Deserved. Already elite and he’s only 22. Pacers were around .500 when he played last year and his supporting cast was pretty shit. Clear best point guard in the league potential for this guy IMO (not saying he’ll get there but the potential is there).

He's good and has a bright future but I think Brunson is better than him. Yet he made the all-star game and JB didn't. Ludicrous

Let's see if he can make it to the playoffs next year

U dumb?

DeAaron who is clearly better is making like 35m a yr for the foreseeable future and we traded him for a better and cheaper fit, haliburton doesn't have that extra gear true stars like Fox has, and he's not a generational PG like Curry or even Dame level

Overpay especially when you consider Fox contract

Shockingly stupid comment as usual. Haliburton is so much better than Fox it’s not even funny.

Fox was the best player on the 3rd best team in the west, was the most clutch player in the league by far, got all NBA, and outplayed GOAT PG Curry for 6 games

Foh casual ive actually watched Hali since the beginning of his career and didn't just learn about him in Indy, he doesn't have the extra gear stars like Fox has u dumbass

you can take that extra gear and shove it up your ass bc that's where you're drawing your comparison from.

haliburton is younger and already a better playmaker and more efficient scorer. his splits are actually really good for being in his 3rd year 40% from 3pt on SEVEN attempts, 87% free throw shooter, 59% from the field. he's barely 3 years in...

if you actually believe that building around fox is better than haliburton, you're insane. he's putting up CP3 numbers and he's 22...:facepalm

Fox clearly has first option carry numbers on a 3rd seeded west team compared to Haliburton who just plays another version of Nash Lin Dantoni ball on an east basement dweller playing absolutely no defense and spamming assists for stat nerds, ultimately going nowhere

Fox is infinitely more dynamic as seen by his damn near 10ppg higher scoring average along with creating infinitely more rim pressure and warping defenses in ways Haliburton unathletic slow ass could only dream of

Foh clown

Now THIS^ is a stupid comment.

They're comparable, and it's absolutely debatable which one is better. I would give the edge to Fox by being able to take over a game and come through in the clutch.
