Yea you could shoot like 01 Kobe or current Draymond and have 3 million but I’ve seen too many actual nba players miss uncontested threes over and over to take that risk. The difference in 100K or a million to me is like…getting the same home in Austin or maybe Port St. Lucie but having it paid out of the fund I’d put the rest in after the down payment with the million vs just having the down with the 100. It’s not gonna make me change my whole life plan. I have all I want already minus the “**** it” money things I still can’t get with a million. I’d have like…2 new cars instead of one. I can post up bigger guys. I'm a really really good passer. Why I'm not in the NBA? Skill is relative to competition. I'm average height. I wouldn't even get a shot off against let's say Steph Curry, but you leave me alone at the three point line 10 times? I sure atleast hit 2. Most likely 3, maybe 4. Back in the day? 6 or 7. That doesn't qualify me as an NBA player of any sort.

As I already said. I'm used to making music infront of audiences. Not 20k people but dozens to hundreds still depending on the gig. Regarding playing infront of an audience there are three kinds of people. Those who dgaf once the novelty wears off, those who thrive infront of others and those who get stage fright. I'm the first kind, my singer for example is the third kind. After decades of gigging still has stage fright to this day.

Also the bigger the audience the easier it gets, because it becomes more anonymous. Just because you don't know yourself doesn't mean others can't.

The thing that could really trouble me would be the perceived depth behind the basket. The courts where there was no wall (or fence on a blacktop) behind the basket always took me some shots to get used to it. But I guess I get to shoot around with the team before the game so it should be fine.

And the other thing is: You didn't even tackle my point. You act like the burden for becoming an NBA player is shooting and stage fright is the sole reason that good hobbyist shooters couldn't.

The reason Kerr could get into the NBA as a shooter only is because he still is 1,90m and can get a shot off against a close out. I can't. If a 2m guy closes out on me 9 out of 10 times my shot will get blocked and the 10th would airball. I couldn't defend the worst 15th, injury replacement, guy on any team for even 3 seconds.

Being able to shoot open shots isn't the criterea to get into the NBA or not. The body is. The bigger you are the more likely it becomes, if you play basketball, to get into the NBA. The smaller you are the more skills are required aside from shooting.

The difference itt is that blaze build a scenario where this doesn't matter.

This is a really good point. An NBA court would feel so different than any other court I've played on that it would throw me off. I've never even played on a court that had stands on both sides, never mind behind the baskets etc.
