KD put up 29/7/5 on 56/40/92 so I don’t know what they’re supposed to rate him poorly enough in for him to not be super high. If they factored in defense that heavily a lot of those guys would drop. They could drop him an arbitrary number due to always being hurt but I’m not sure how it goes into a formula. What’s Leonard rated?

Badges are what matters more in 2k anyways. Showing these dunk/3 ratings without context isn't very useful.

Also, some players work out to lower ratings while being more effective than higher-rating players. These "underrated" players usually are the ones who have skills outside of those considered primary for their position. Positional specialists get overrated.

The dunk ratings are screwed up but they probably just wanted the rating to come out a certain way and played with the numbers until they got the desired result...like any other advanced stat.

What should Ben Simmons overall be? Keep in mind his skill set.

It's hard to quantify being soft but it's possible. They don't want to create some stat like "ho factor" because the players would throw a fit but if you limit him to 25 minutes and every other game replace him with a bag of skittles you would at least get a fair depiction of his performance.
