There are Pros who go their entire career without a hole in one. Its 1 out of 10,000 shot. The fact the greatest shotmaker in a different sport got one is RIDICULOUS. Its actually more impressive than him winning the tournament. First active athlete to do so.

Calm down. Almost every good golfer who’s played enough over their lives have had a hole in one at some point. The ones who haven’t see just unlucky.
It’s awesome that Steph did that but it’s not some crazy feat. I’ve never had one myself but my dad has. Not a pro golfer.

The most pressure Curry ever had to deal with in a golf tournament wasn't in that exhibition or that celebrity tourney. He played in a tournament for pro golfers as a sponsor exemption.
Back in 2017 he played in a web.com event, the minor league to the PGA tour, and beat several of the pros shooting 74, 74 in the first two rounds.
There was a big discussion on here about it at the time. A lot of people were saying he would choke and shoot mid 80s. They had to eat a lot of crow.

This is a classic “Alabama could beat the Lions!” situation. But that times a thousand.
Steph is elite for celebrity golfers…not golfers in general. A retired tennis player and I think fvcking Jake Owen rounded out the top 3, and were close to him.
It’s clear you don’t golf because you don’t seem to understand how good tour players are, much less Tiger Woods. The course they played at had soft and flat greens, wide as shit fairways, and pretty much no rough whatsoever. And it’s short, and the pin placements catered to them to make it easier. The worst tour guy would go there and be pissed off that he shot 62. He’d have to be hungover or something.
Michael Jordan (another GOAT athlete and hand-eye guy I’d say) has been playing like 4 rounds a week for the last 30 years and is a pretty much scratch golfer, same as Steph. I heard in and interview that he plays with Keegan Bradley regularly. Keegan gives him 10 strokes and still wins most of the time. And that’s just them fvcking around not in front of the lights at a big PGA event.
It’s a completely different level of golf that the true pros play.

I said if he devoted his life to it instead of basketball.
Currys hand eye coordination and determination and focus are clearly GOAT. His golfing skill is top notch without even being his primary ambition.
I'd argue... Curry might be even better than tiger in this hypothethetical. Since Woods never showed athletic competency anywhere else. And the sport was traditionally dominated by non athlete types.

Why wouldn’t Jordan be on at least the senior tour at this point then?
And Mardy Fish, the guy who Steph had to eagle to beat today? He never even made a semifinal of a major tennis tournament. Why wouldn’t he have devoted his life to golf instead since he’s so good at it?
A lot of athletes are great at different sports. That’s what makes them great athletes.
Just because you’re remarkable at one doesn’t mean you’d be remarkable at another. I mean…should Steve Nash go out there and start dominating at golf too? If all it takes is great hand-eye then shit, why not.

Dude it’s not even just the mental aspect, although that’s a big part of it when you’re actually at the highest level.
Steph was hitting 3 woods on par 4s to keep it the fairway. At that course most pros are hammering drivers and going 50-60 yards further at least. They’re just longer somehow. Their bodies know how to do it.
I’m sure Ray Lewis has thrown plenty of footballs in his life, but he could never do it the way even Kirk Cousins does. It’s innate.

So why is Jordan still taking 10 strokes from a tour guy and losing most of the time? I feel like you’re not getting this.
Sometimes people are great at different things. Two guys can be really good at two sports but one can be great at one of them. People have a knack for things. Steph is a good golfer and if he dedicated his life to it maybe he gets in the tour. Who knows. Tiger is the GOAT though so it’s weird to say he’d be that.

Jordan doesn't have the hand eye coordination of steph curry. You're comparing a guy who was a dunker and supreme athlete with a super nice midrange game to the best shooter ever.
A guy who had the coordination to drill 40 foot shots like free throws. That long range capability is clearly more applicable to golf. Would you not agree?

That’s…smaller. And as you know (well maybe you don’t), leverage is a thing in baseball. Length can add power on its own.

Golf is as much about IQ as athletic ability. So it's up Steph's alley. If you see Steph's legs, they're not the typical build for an NBA athlete. Nonetheless, he's accomplished so much because he's a step ahead of everyone mentally.

Curry , not even close.
If he concentrated on golf alone , he could maybe make the Senior tour , but I doubt that would even happen.
Pro golfers are like pro bball players ... kill any amateur and a fine line from ranked #1 -to 150.
Do u remember when 49'ers John Brodie joined the senior tour. (he was considered an exceptional amateur) , when he
