Can he even play? I thought he basically invalid and halfway retired.

In any case, this is definitely a huge signing, might be the biggest NBA to Europe signing ever.

Kemba is only a few years removed from being an olympian and All Star.

This is a legit All Star level talent going to Europe.

Maybe he can prove himself worthy of another shot at the NBA. I guess this is what he will try to do. That or he must have invested his money poorly.

Keep in mind that Wemby dominated the french league in a team that didn't even play Euroleague.

Kemba was one of the better performing americans in FIBA, so maybe that has contributed to him going to Europe. His game seems suited for FIBA play.

finally someone to challenge the Euroleague GOAT Anthony Parker

Wembanyana averaged 6.5 ppg in Euroleage, so we'll see which players scores more or less.

Wemby also said it was easier to score in the NBA btw.

Walker isn't the biggest NBA to Europe signing. Dominique Wilkins played for Panathinaikos in the mid 90s winning the Euroleague.

Unfortunately his true problem is going to remain. He could still play in the NBA if his knee was good. If the European team only plays him once a week he might average 30. But if he tries to play as much as everyone else this season will end up hurt like every year does. Really too bad I don't fault him for wanting to play. Hope I'm wrong.

The NBA is weird sometimes or they just don't tell what's going on.

Kemba was on the Mavs on a short contract and goes out and scores 30 and hits a game winner and then doesn't play more.

I doubt it's as clean cut as "can't play" or "too injured", there's probably some more legastic contract or insurance bs going on that makes NBA teams don't want to deal with these situations.

It might be easier to deal with injured players in France. I know its notoriously difficult to fire employees, but on the other hand you have a public healthcare system that is maybe the best in the world, so healthcare costs can to a large degree be passed on.

True, but that's a long time ago.

Kemba is an all star and olympian, he's a big name, he's an A-tier name.

Notice an interesting trend where players seem to fall off career wise after going to Boston

Kemba
Fournier

Kristaps next?

The injuries have been unfortunate. But a funny thing: the Celtics have still managed to do better than the Nets in spite of all that misfortune. And get this: the Nets traded an MVP winner still in his prime for a guy that hasn't played all season and then went on to... continue not playing. Guess it's better to be unlucky than stupid.

Better how?

Better by their players? Definitely not, The majority of the players that have gone to Boston have come out worse on the other side, can't say the same for my Nets :applause:

Better in terms of team success? If you call getting embarrassed in your home floor in a game 7 and getting shat on by the Warriors a success then I guess :lol

Al Horford disproves your theory. He left Atlanta and signed with Boston. He's had more success with Boston than any other franchise.

Kristaps is most likely next Al Horford. A guy who does better in Boston than other places. He has missed playoffs on every team except Dallas. He couldn't get out of 1st round in Dallas.

The Celtics have been to the conference finals twice and the finals once since the Nets signed Irving and KD. How many times has-been Simmons led the Nets to the Finals? And who had two players on the AllNBA team right now? The entirety of your argument appears to be that ex-Nets do better. That's nice but I didn't know that this was college where it matters what your next job is. The fact that KD and Irving are better off somewhere else isn't a good thing. You're batting 0 here

Which means the Nets haven't won shit ever. Keep digging that hole. Kembac Walkers career declined because he got unfired. In your mind I guess basketball is more dangerous if a player is wearing a Celtics jersey. That's a stupid thought of course but you have never made sense before so why start now?

I am convinced you have some kind of disability. Everyone knows Hayward Thomas and Walker got injured. Fournier...signed with the Knicks and it didn't work out for him. I neither know nor care about the details. And as a Nets fan you should have had a front row seat to Kyrie. Do you have a point somewhere in this?
