Team Stats vs 2014 Spurs

Dallas (https://www.basketball-reference.com/playoffs/2014-nba-western-conference-first-round-mavericks-vs-spurs.html#all_four_factors)......... 101 PPG... 50 eFG'..... 2.0 average margin of loss
OKC (https://www.basketball-reference.com/playoffs/2014-nba-western-conference-finals-thunder-vs-spurs.html#all_four_factors)............. 98 PPG....48 eFG.... 10.5 average margin of loss
Portland (https://www.basketball-reference.com/playoffs/2014-nba-western-conference-semifinals-trail-blazers-vs-spurs.html#all_four_factors)........ 95 PPG... 45 eFG.... 13.3 average margin of loss
Miami (https://www.basketball-reference.com/playoffs/2014-nba-finals-heat-vs-spurs.html#all_four_factors)........... 92 PPG... 54 eFG.... 14.0 average margin of loss

^^^ TLDR: the highest efficiency yielded the biggest margin of loss (Heat), while higher PPG yielded lower margin of loss for every opponent, aka raw PPG drove winning and passive efficiency-hunting didn't.. :confusedshrug:.. You may now proceed to the voting area.

Pippen averaged 15.7 on 41%, so MJ was forced to carry the scoring load (defeat max defensive attention) at GOAT levels - specifically, he was forced to score a higher percentage of team points than anyone ever scored and also the highest number of clutch points that anyone ever had, while also making a goat defensive play + offensive play to win the series.

Furthermore, Pippen's 15.7 on 41% is poor scoring and efficiency, and we know that Lebron never beat a top 5 SRS team with poor scoring and efficiency from a sidekick (zero carry-jobs vs top teams in 20 years of playing).. So Lebron has no carry-job vs top teams in 20 years, while MJ had 2 in just the 98' run alone (98' ECF and Finals).. In addition to not having any carry-jobs vs top teams in 20 years, Lebron never defeated max defensive attention (never carried scoring load on championship level).

Imagine 3-peating while averaging 4 rpg/2apg on 40ish percent chucking.

MJ averaged more APG than Lebron for the first 9 years of their playoff career until Curry's spacing era made offense easier for everyone starting in 2015

PLAYOFFS:

85-93' Jordan...... 35/7/7
06'14' Lebron...... 28/8/6

stopped reading at max defensive attention. there was no such thing in an era where the rules forced teams to defend all 5 players on the court or hard double. no guarding space/driving lanes, no zone, just man to man/help in the paint.

lebron averages 50 in that era if he was selfish enough to chuck as much as lil mikey and he'd do it more efficiently while also grabbing more than 4 boards a gm and dishing out only 2 assists. laughable.

Lebron learned about the value of efficiency when his high volume and weak efficiency did great in the 2015 Finals compared to his efficiency-hunting and low-volume debacle in 2014...

When a player takes forever to get a great look - this passive efficiency-hunting lets a defense rest, while Jordan's aggressive attack wore down defenses so they had less capacity for offense - Jordan's attack won the attrition battle.. Again, Lebron learned the value of efficiency in 2015 when raw aggressive PPG set the tone and put the Warriors on their heels (won the attrition battle early-on)
