Would a White American Larry Bird-like NBA star be great for the game commercially?

There hasn't been a big White American since like Larry Bird. I wonder how valuable having someone come along on that level again is to the league? Do you think it would increase ratings and boost the NBA commercially speaking? Let's hope Cooper Flagg is that guy.

MJ and Lebron are the two biggest ultra mega global stars in basketball and theyre not white. So I dont think it really matters. Not sure why people keep pushing this ‘white hope’ narrative. Basketball has been doing fine.
