The first Brook Lopez type to spend years as a traditional big then suddenly turn to a 3 point shooter. Not the first big to shoot outside. Just the first I recall deciding to incorporate it out of nowhere. Made 5 threes through a whole youth and prime of mostly mid and low post hand behind his head unblockable awkward fadeaways and faceup jumpers

then suddenly comes out one year and takes 200 and shoots 38%:

Good all around player. Score, rebound, and pass. Shot 92% from the ft line at one point and I think he’s still the only center to lead the league in it. Won a ring he played a big part in. Tougher than you think by looking at him.
Would I want him to switch on Donovan Mitchell at 28 feet? No. But I don’t think that’s really the question to ask of a true center even though it’s the first thing we bring up when we talk bigs changing eras. I don’t want Alonzo Mourning guarding superstar points either but I don’t think that’s really the measuring stick.
Just saying….good player. Hall of famer even if he wouldn’t belong in a more exclusive best of the best nfl style hall. I think he’d translate nicely. Jack Sikma could be roughly Vucevic level or a little worse. Not bad for a guy who’s game was built in the 70s hypothetically playing decades from where he should be. Even out of place with a lot to change…good player fairly quickly I’d say. Growing up in the 2000s he’d be better but I mean a straight swap. He’d be acceptable on day one while he worked out the kinks.
