Steve Francis types really can’t revolutionize the league and that’s been the case for a good 40 years. He wasn’t gonna do anything DG didn’t do in the early 80s:

I think he was supposed to be dating Beyonce at the time though. She’s from Houston where he was playing. It’s conceivable. I can’t Imagine why else he’d be so prominent a feature.

He was popular for a while yea but not THAT big. He’d probably be bigger today if only due to being given 40 screens and allowed to attack all day. He didn’t really shoot as much as you think to have been playing 40 minutes. They would probably try to make him Ja these days.

back in 2001 having 2 all-stars was a team loaded.
Francis was supposed to do it all for Houston.

There was maybe a handful of teams that had 3 all-stars.

There's nothing particularly impressive about carrying the ball left and right and being able to shake a guy.

Everyone loves to see a man of normal height that can take over an NBA game. If he played in the modern era and took better care of himself he could have been Westbrook.

Stevie Franchise was a bad man. I got Kj vibes with more dunking from him when he played here. Maybe just a style adjustment away from being an atg. But he was the cost of the Tmac era here. There were alot of off the court rumors about the man in the city. The nightlife of Houston chews stars up and spits them out if they aren't careful. Supposedly Francis was on drugs and even crazier had a "special friendship" with Cutino Mobley, a teammate. They were both traded to Orlando together for Tmac.
