Of course he is. He had an amazing championship run at age 24. Played MVP level for a few years. There isn’t even a LeBron James to talk about if Wade doesn’t pimp him into coming to Miami.

Southbeachtalents, what's your perspective on this as a Heat fan?

If you consider longevity it isn't even a question. They won a whole extra championship with Wade. James moved around from team to team and this is the trade off. It's not disrespect it's reality.

Why wouldn't you consider longevity?

Wade was the Master, Lebron was his padawan. He had to go off on a great personal quest to learn how to win.

Some people just consider peak.

The greatest heat career you can argue. The goat player that ever played for the heat? Wade isn't top 2.

This is a stupid take. Who cares what a player did elsewhere?
Wade had multiple seasons that kill anything that Shaq did in Miami. Shaq's best season there averaged 22.9 PPG and 10.4 REB. Using your logic, is Hakeem the greatest Raptor too?

Fat kid still quoting me after he ran from my topic. Embarrassing and shameless.

Oh and for the window lickers who lack basic reading comprehension skills...there is a difference between greatest heat player and greatest player to play for the heat.

Riley is saying Wade is the greatest legacy player for the Heat franchise. Not the 'best' in terms of individually or the wider context of GOAT rankings. It would be like saying James Worthy is a greater Laker than AD, but AD is a better player.

What are you talking about again? I barely post here cause I have a great life. Sorry I don't live on here, bucko.

So, you agree that Hakeem was the greatest player to play for the Raptors while seemingly agreeing with my take of “who cares“ about that.

You can also argue Jimmy Butler is a better Heat player than Dwyane Wade. He consistently wins more regular season games and makes deeper playoffs runs.

No, you really can't.

Wade has 2 superstar level rings with the Heat and 1 All NBA level ring. While Lebron has 2 superstar level rings with Miami. So Wade is ahead.
The crazy thing is if Lebron didnt throw the 2011 Finals when he saw Wade was in line to win his 2nd FMVP the gap would be even bigger not just for the Heat ranking, but all time.

You don't really believe he did that do you? Throw the series to sabotage Wade?
