They were the ones behind the Covid lockdowns. The republicans wanted to take a wait and see approach and then come up with a viable solution that would protect the most vulnerable.

The democrats were the ones adamant about shutting down the world down for over a year because "saving lives" was more important they said. And now that we are seeing the consequences of those decisions, they STILL want to deflect blame.

I would respect the dems much more if they actually stood by their initial stance. "Sure the economy is bad but hey we were afraid of this mysterious virus and we wanted to save as many lives as we could..." but they won't even say that. Somehow everything is still Donald Trump's fault.
