If you're responding to a post, why say "in my opinion" aka imo.

Of course it's your opinion. Why would those reading think it would be someone else's?

In my opinion, I think it's because it's a nicer form than straight out disagreeing with the person that they're replying to.

Quiet tpols just popped into my mind. The image of him standing up in the middle of his company's meeting, and expressing his "disagreement." Though I don't think he said, "In my opinion," in such a scenario, many people would use the term, because they're risking saying something that might not align with others in the group. Especially vaccine cucks. And somehow saying, "In my opinion" is less harsh.

It distinguish whether you're stating opinion or fact.

In my opinion, it's a phrase that's used to lessen the blow of said opinion in case the person or persons that are receiving that opinion would potentially feel threatened or intimidated intellectually.

I appreciate it cause I find it annoying when people express an opinion as a fact.

I think this guy needs conformation from Patsy and Jalopy all the time ... might be a gay thing.
