But many people seem to view him higher. Is it based on potential or is he really much better than that?

Reliable offensive weapon who can shoot the 3, still utilizes the mid range, and can finish at the rim. All while being a good defender. To give a number? Well, he was All NBA last year so somewhere in the 15-20 range.
