He was bleeding profusely already It's literally the first thing I wrote after "nah". This was an avoidable situation. The idiot got too close to the large lady, precisely because he didn't think she was a threat. He thought he could get it over her. I guarantee you he wouldn't be that close to a fit fellow, but he'd still shoot him dead.

In the video, he got close to her because he was about to put her in handcuffs.

They could just talk to everyone in a domestic violence situation with their guns drawn. That would cover most scenarios where they ended up being injured but I don't think the general public or yourself would be too happy about that.

Yeah it was posted here a couple of years ago if it was that 6'6 Mexican dude shooting that Native American cop. If the guy wasn't so tall he wouldn't have been able to shoot so easily over the bed of the pickup. He had the little cop at a disadvantage. The cop apparently knew he was armed and dangerous, that's why he was calmly trying to get him to step into his car but seemed way too calm towards the situation at hand allowing the bad guy to get the jump on him.
