Players that would make All Stars, All NBAs, always played well. But, there was always someone that was better at the position they played.

Think Paul Pierce, Chauncey Billups, Paul George. Maybe even a Marc Gasol or Joakim Noah. Guys who would always ball out, but you wouldn't consider them the best at their position.

I need some older heads to help out with the older days.

Even with Jordan retired, Miller was never considered as the best off guard in the league by voters but when playoff time comes around he was arguably the best performing at his position especially in 94, 95 and 2000 where he led his team deep in the playoffs.

Dolph Schayes, Hal Greer, Elvin Hayes, and Jim Pollard were always behind Bob Pettit, Jerry West, KAJ, and Bob Cousey

An unsung hero that often comes to mind for me is Mark Jackson.

Yes, that Mark Jackson.

I think he is only a 1x all-star but during his day he was as good a floor general as you could ask for really. Always poised, always made great plays. Always felt like he was one of the smartest dudes on the floor at all times. Added tremendous value everywhere he went.

The obvious ones are the poor SGs that had the misfortune to play at the same time as Kobe Bryant. Namely Ray Allen and Tracy McGrady

Chris Webber also had a pretty rough deal having to follow Barkley and Malone and then Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan come along

Milwaukee Bucks - Junior Bridgman

He got some news, but at that time it was all about Kareem instead of what the bucks got back for him.

Bridgman was an exceptional wing , that was dependable as well as coachable.
