First thing came up to my mind is Pippen refusing to play after Phil drawing the play for Kukoc at the end of the playoff game.

Anthony Davis refusing to play in order to force NO to trade him after his collusion with Bronie.

James Harden pulling all of his shenanigans.

It would have to be Pippen in 94 unless you consider chasing stats to be more selfish. In that case maybe one of the people begging for a triple double. Ricky Davis shooting at his own basket. Andray Blatche begging people to not contest a potential missed free throw so he could get a 10th rebound. Shit like that.

The stats thing is technically selfish but fairly harmless, especially if the teammates agree and are on his side. If you feel like having pizza and steer the conversation that way but everyone is ultimately open to it…not that selfish.

Pippens thing was true selfishness. That’s no one else wants pizza so you don’t go to the restaurant all your buddies want and eat Papa John’s alone. And you’re a dick about it while doing it.

He was widely considered a douche. Not surprising his teammates didn't have his back

Comment by Rick Barry on the youtube vid.

I happen to run across this and this is the most insulting thing anybody has ever said about me. Anybody who knows me knows how ridiculous it is to say that I didn’t try and refused to shoot.
There is no truth whatsoever to me having looked at film at halftime and seeing that my teammates didn’t come to my defense when I had the altercation with Ricky Sobers. Even in the video that they showed you can see my teammates coming over to the confrontation. Whoever posted this should be ashamed of themselves.

Probably not the real Rick Barry, but that same channel has a vid of Rick Barry catching some fish.

Jordan creating an autobiography documentary to shit on Pippen 30 years later because Jordan was insecure about his all time rankings and very upset about the 2016 championship.

Jordan did not play in 1994 yet felt the need to include that year in his "autobiography". Why didn't Jordan include 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003?

Shawn Marion acting like he deserved max money / max media attention and killing any chances the Suns had to win a chip. Only after traded to eventually sign for way less and be like the 5 best player on his team.

Robert Sarver not resigning Amare Stoudemire because he wanted to put some bullshit insurance clause in his contract.

If Marion doesn’t act like a diva and Sarver resigns Amare, Phoenix has the legendary run Dallas had and takes out Lebrons heat.

Quiting is leaving the team after losing. Quiting isn't when you won. Lebron did that in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022 by having guys traded.

But those were just one play. Some of these acts are selling out their team or refusing to play, as stated. I def put Kobe 2004 up there. It was multiple actions, but the ACT was "I don't wanna win unless I get FMVP."

He threw an entire Finals series for the very reason you state. If that's not the most selfish, I don't know what is.

Pippen easily. He basically tried to sabotage a game and it backfired. The entire act was selfish because he was waiting to gloat after Toni was to miss, but whoops he didn't.

This

Pip, as great as an all around player that he was, was never really good at creating quality ISO plays for himself when the defense was concentrated on him with the game on the line and with the clock running down. I knew it, fellow Bulls fans knew it, NBA fans in general knew it and most importantly, PJax knew it.

Why would Jordan make an autobiography documentary while shitting on Pippen in 1994 when Jordan didn't play that year?

That blew up Jordan's relationship with Pippen after. Quite selfish of Jordan to do that.

Charles Barkley said MJ was a bad owner publicly and MJ stopped talking to Charles after that. Did that struck a nerve because the truth hurts?

For MJ, the truth is okay when he is still winning, MJ doesn't like the truth when he's losing.

Hypocrite.

Did MJ still parroting his dislike of that Chuck's statement? You see him on every sports talk show doing that? MJ chose to end their communication and that's it. Zeke going out his way to every media possible to tell how MJ took his lunch money
