And yet Tatum was more efficient overall.

Tatum was close to 30/9/5 last year. It would not take much for him to produce an MVP stat line.

Not if you include the playoffs.

A lot of good locations a defender on tatum can push him to shoot 32-% :oldlol:

I am surprised how efficient Book is :applause::rockon:

Unless it's Lebron. Then you care deeply about regular season stats.

Exactly. Which is why nobody cares what it would take for him to produce an MVP statline.

Tatum is pedestrian in the playoffs by superstar standards. Nobody fears Playoff Tatum.

Saying no one cares about mvp is just stupid. You're either an idiot or an idiot trying po get a reaction with a stupid hot take. Nothing new.

It helps having Durant on your team... Just like how Klay has benefited from the defense Curry draws

So it looks like Tatum is weak going left, and Booker is strong in either direction.

Tatum has more than double the at rim attempts. Those opportunities tend to dry up in the playoffs more. Books skillset is obviously more playoff friendly. He's a master class baller tbh.

Defenses are generally better but attacking the bakery is always a good idea. Tatum has led the Celtics to the conference finals 4 times now. His style is effective enough.

Tatum is a great player but if you guys had playoff Booker from the past 3 years you probably would've won a championship. Particularly if you had Finals or last year's playoffs Booker. He was going nuts even against elite playoff defenses while Tatum kinda shrank. Warriors would've lost in 2022 with Booker in Tatums place.

This is because of how good the Celtics have been top to bottom. Not because Tatum's been something special in the postseason.

Also, you pee sitting down.

Uhh he has been criticized for underperforming often... no one but you is counting eastern conference final attendances/banners.

Where is their championship? Is never that simple. People point at Tatum's bad sites vs the Warriors and ignore the fact that he's set records for scoring in game 7 and the p play-in tournament. He's had a lot of great moments too.

This last postseason he averaged 27 and 10. He has led his team to the conference finals over half of his career. There are players that have been doing better but it's a short list.

It's weird that you think you're respected. But then again this could just be you with your idiot persona still trying to get a rise or of me. I suppose I hurt your feelings long ago back when Obama first ran for president. The obsession lasting this long is just strange. Regardless... this conversation isn't interesting in the slightest. You're boring me so I'm done with you.

In theory, superior scoring diversity should lead to the better playoff and specifically clutch performance. But it's never really that simple. Tatum's shot selection may fit better in Boston's offense; Booker's shot selection might cause systemic issues. Even something defense-related like Jayson's size and positional versatility could make him more ideal and Devin less.

Book only got to play with KD for 8 games in the regular season and those appear to be reg season statistics.

Don't get me wrong, the impact on Booker's efficiency that KD had in the playoffs was huge. It must've felt like a boulder being lifted off of Book's shoulders. He's NEVER had a scoring teammate that other teams truly had to focus on stopping. So this is a whole new experience for him.

The highest PPG scorer he ever had as a teammate, until KD joined, was way back in 2017... remember Eric "Shanghai Sharks Finest" Bledsoe? Mr "I dont wanna be here... oh my bad I was talking about the hair salon" lol.

Yup that 1 season of Bledsoe putting up 20ppg in '16-'17 was the 1 time Booker had a teammate who averaged 20+ppg for a season.

Tatum vs Booker just as scorers is a debate and Booker may even have a small edge. But if we're discussing them as overall players what Tatum does defensively and rebounding is on a far higher level than Booker.

There’s a difference between tongue-in-cheek and childish trolling. Full court would be the other side.

Not in the playoffs when it mattersBooker just had sky high numbers in his first postseason with KD. I can't fault anything he did as a scorer but the postseasons he did not play with Durant his numbers were nowhere near that good. If he averaged 59% from the field for the rest of his playoff career he's the new Jordan and with KD as his sidekick there's no stopping them. He hit over half of his threes. Those numbers aren't going to last.
