They got 2 stars and at the same time they are sort of rebuilding while putting absolute garbage around Luka and Kyrie :oldlol:

There was a good run where being a two star team was rare and it would be Antoine Walker, Paul Pierce, and relative bums. Teams being so deep(or at least appearing so with the stats being easier to achieve giving the impression more people are superstars) throws this question off.
Shaq and Kobe were the only two superstars on one team at that time. One star, a kinda sorta star, and bums was considered a talented lineup. These mavs would be talented by the standards of those days.

I think you misunderstood OP. He meant the last 5 years by history. He wouldn't know much about before that anyway.

I think when Bob McAdoo and Bob Lanier were on the same Pistons team it got pretty, pretty bad, they won 20 games or something like that.

I don't know how they couldn't get a good defensive center though. Like... Gobert or Robert Williams would be amazing. Dallas has struggled with this for 20+ years. Even around Dirk and Terry they always had bums at center. They get Tyson Chandler and ring 1st year. Is it really that hard?

Can't wait until Luka leaves.
Mavs are on Sterling Clippers and MJ Charlotte incompetent.

They simply do not have the picks or players to trade for center. Dereck Lively has been looking great though and seems to be center of the future.

Jordan/Stackhouse
Jordan/Gervin
You've got two sides of the crap coin there with MJ

He was much closer to being a bum for NBA standards than he was to being better than Pippen like you claimed.

Well there's the older Dumars - Rookie Grant Hill duo that was worse than the current Mavs.

I’m talking in prime. Being a washed former star doesn’t really count imo

How about the three-star AD/Westbrook lottery Lakers?
