Perhaps. I thinks with him it’s that he’s a shot-maker who needs to be feed, and if he isn’t hitting shots then he’s relatively useless. Which is cool on a bad team. He can work through the cold spells and come out scoring 26 a game.

But a good team doesn’t really have much time for that type of player having an off night.

Honestly he is trash because any great scorer can get buckets at any time. I mean if you want to monopolize the ball you better keep your teammates involved and make the right reads. But somehow i doubt he does that and instead plays a very selfish brand of basketball

Nah he is just trash. Scoring in general doesnt seem to relate to winning basketball nowadays. I was lookkng at the top 5 scorers last year and none of them had a deep playoff run and if you extend further out you will see it is rare for top scorers to make the finals and sometimes the CFs. Scoring a lot will get you paid but not necessarily the Ws

He had a great game. If he were the caliber of player who did it even 25% of the time he’d be going to the hall of fame and it would barely be worth reporting.

But he isn’t that.

He’s just a good young scorer not some kinda all timer. Can’t just have a great night and get props without it being pointed out that he usually won’t do it? As if anyone thinks he’s about to average 40 on insane shooting?

These games, plus the 4-15s, plus some middle of the road games? That’s how you arrive at an average along the 22-25 he will probably do on decent to average shooting. Can the third and fourth tier guys just get their day in the sun?

Nobody thinks it’s a daily thing do they?

I still can't believe this dude might have cost the Warriors a championship last year. They could've beat the Lakers if he didn't play in that series. The Nuggets would've been tough but if they got by them the Heat would've been easy work.
