He heard all the criticism about him showing up every other game, so he decided to change it up. Now he’ll show up every other half.

Had a stupid argument recently where certain posters were acting like James and David were somehow going to take over thanks to all of this... whatever this even is.

After the crap Davis pulled on his last season with the Pels, he's one of my least favorite players. Watching him underperform doesn't bother me in the least.

And just think....without him the Lakers can't even make the playoffs. :lol

He was barking all off-season and during preseason. Talking about "me and Bron talked about this...bla bla bla" and he comes up small against the man who humiliated him last year's western conference.

He's not to be trusted.

AD is who he has always been. A great finisher and defender. What he isn't though is a high level creator and thus can't be your team's #1 if you are looking to win it all. LeBron will always be LA's best offensive player. But he's also 39 and shouldn't really be a contender's #1 option. Eventually he'll get hurt/tired or simply decline and LA's season will end like last year.

I feel that AD often lacks motivation and doesn't play hard. It's a mental thing with him more than anything. Guy has the talent + the physical ability, but lacks the drive.

I don't have much of a problem with AD only having 17 pts in a game as long as it is accompanied by 15+rbs and 3-4 blocks while playing DPOY caliber defense. That's the problem. He wasn't doing that last night.

That's where you are wrong. He DOESN'T have the talent to be that guy on offense. Weak handle, poor shooter and passer. A guy like that isn't suited to be #1 option on a contender. He's the ideal #2 to a great #1 though.

His on-ball ability is lacking. He can't consistently create efficient plays for himself or his teammates. Works best off-ball, but everyone already knew that. It's going to have to be LeBron that leads the offense... as usual.

“They started double-teaming, trying to crowd the paint,” Davis said postgame. “I missed some easy layups around the rim, little jumpers. But I was trying to make the right play, kick it out to our guys when they double. Rui (Hachimura) hit an open three, Gabe (Vincent) had open threes, they just didn’t fall. But I have to shoot it more.”

Coach Darvin Ham still had his player’s back, praising him for keeping them close in the first half. Even so, he wants him to be way more aggressive as a scorer, which was a point of emphasis throughout the course of the entire offseason:

“Just trying to move him around and attack and play downhill. (He) had some unfortunate misses. (He) had it going there for a while, kept us close.” Ham said, “But just want him to be all-out aggressive whether it’s pick and roll, him catching the ball in trail position, him direct post-up. Just want him to be aggressive. We’ll go back and look at the film and see if there’s anything we like and then go from there.”

He is an elite scorer when he wants to be with a multitude of post moves & decent midrange game from the high post. 30ppg level of scorer. He is not usually aggressive though.
