I remember being in 7th grade trying out for the basketball team and the coach was this nerdy math and tennis teacher and the first thing he brought up was how shocked he was that LeBron dominated in his first game. Tryouts were like a day after his 1st game.

False.

Neither of them had 43 points or 27 rebounds in their debut, like someone did in 1959.

There is a reason why they named the Rookie of the Year award after him.

Imagine riding LeBron's nuts to the point of being deliberately stupid?

I remember his triple-double vs the Heat, it was crazy. Too bad his career went downhill after his rookie season. Lamar Odom also had 30 points and 12 rebounds in his debut vs then NBA champs Spurs. I am pretty sure there have been lots of great first games over the years.

He was a steal or two away from a triple double iirc
