I'll name 2 off the top of my head

1. Sharks are older than trees

2. Our existence as humans is closer in time to when T-Rex lived than T-Rex was to the existence of stegosaurus. For reference, T-Rex's lived 66 million years ago. The stegosaurus lived 150 million years ago.

Almost all stars have a solar system with at least one planet around them (on average, multiple planets).

The universe is not only expanding, but the expansion is speeding up. I don't think we know why it's speeding up.

Dark matter makes up most of the universe. Regular matter that we see is only a very tiny fraction of what is actually out there. Dark matter cannot be seen and doesn't interact with regular matter afaik, but it still emits gravity. We have no idea what dark matter is and may never find out.

And there's people that really believe there's no life outside of Earth :oldlol:

The southern tip of Illinois is further south than any part of West Virginia. How is that possible? West Virginia is a southern state (sort of) and Illinois is a cold, snowy state way up north somewhere.

2 brainz haha. forreal.

That shit blew my mind to the other side of the spectrum, complete blankness. People say that everyone has a unique perception of the world, and in a way that's true, but the idea that we more than likely are (just by our interpretation of language, as one proof) perceiving the world in AT LEAST two DISTINCTLY DIFFERENT ways is some watwatwat level stuff. I'm not the only person who has taken a bite at that, but when it hit my mind it really did blow it.

No matter what most people say, they believe the person in front of them might be different due to experience, disorder, etc etc, but how many people have examined the idea that the person may be perceiving reality in a fundamentally different way?

I mean we DO have two brain hemispheres. HMMM. And people have processing asymmetry. HMM. It's just amazing people are still talking about disorders when it could just be (and probably is) a functional difference in a lot of cases.

Yeah, I love watching videos about the enormity of outer space, our brains just really connot comprehend such distances. Unless humans go on to make God like technology, which will take thousands of years if not more, we will never get out of our little corner of our galaxy, it takes thousands of years traveling the the speed of light to go between star systems in our own galaxy, much much more if we're talking about traveling to another galaxy. The way humanity keeps killing itself, I highly doubt we'll get to a time and place where we will travel out of our galaxy. This and the fact that humanity WILL go extinct sometime in the future since according to our best scientific research, the universe will one day end.

This is such an elitist comment that's very typical of woke democrats. You're basically saying that people in poor countries are too stupid, less evolved and thus it's acceptable for them to be religious. (Makes you wonder what Off the Court thinks about black people and IDs.).

Meanwhile, the reality is that you're too stupid, lack too much human understanding, to understand the belief system of individual people and the reason why they might choose to follow a religion. And also that most people in third world countries are not ruled by their religion. They still act as normal as anybody else.

You're going to have your religious extremist, probably in the same proportion as you would have it in the US. While most people are living their normal life. Trying to make money, get laid, etc.

Low IQ Off the Court with a presumption of superiority.

I bet it has already happened to bunch of civilizations across our galaxy. Nobody will ever know they existed & signs of their existence might get erased eventually over millions of years. Probably the same will happen with humanity, hopefully in the distant future but somehow I doubt it. It might happen a lot sooner.

If you’re ever wondering how big the difference is between a million and a billion, think of it in seconds.

1 million seconds is about 11 and a half days.

1 billion seconds is 31 years.

Dude come on. :oldlol: Most people are gullible in their own ways but not inherently bad.

I seen someone mention wiping humanity out for the better recently, like what the **** is that going to accomplish? The smartest thing to ever exist in this place just disappears and every thing is just fine and dandy all of a sudden? That's not how it works. At all. Half of this shit would feed on us if given the chance.

Anyway, yeah it will all be gone at some point, but knowing that shouldn't stop anyone from valuing the chance to be here and experience now. It's the most special thing conceivable aside from the 2016 championship...

That is true for even the greatest people... nobody will know who Michael Jordan is in 1000 years the same way none of us could name a champion gladiator from the Roman Arenas.

But what if our current physical forms and egos and self importance is all a facade? And that outside what we currently reside in there's a much deeper more connected essence that totally transcends all of that and makes our current perspective look totally unimportant?

That's the way I see it.

Even Donald Trump, who is not only currently the most famous person in the world, but who will more than likely be the most famous past President (of any country) for thousands of years to come. 5,000 years from now people are going to know King Tut (who lest face it, had breasts, klinefelter syndrome (https://o.quizlet.com/zg6tsDx1o8V8o.-rqHNO4A.jpg), and is only famous because his tomb was found intact), Jesus Christ, and Donald Trump.
