I know that playing at a high level for a long time is tough but could anyone tell me about his numbers?

Thanks

Michael Jordan, especially early on his tenure as owner, was hands-on. He would make himself accessible to players. Occasionally, he even reminded them of why he’s, arguably, the greatest player of all time. Gerald Henderson: We were getting our ass kicked for about a week. I show up to the training room the next morning. I was a rookie so I had to get my stuff out of the way first and he’s already in there stretching and he’s got practice gear on. I said “What are you about to do, man?” He said “I’m gonna come up there and kick y’all ass.” He’s in there talking s–t for however long (https://theathletic.com/4989701/2023/10/25/michael-jordan-hornets-oral-history/?source=user_shared_article). He comes up there and he gets into our scrimmages. He jumped on our second team. Our first team had like Stephen Jackson, Gerald Wallace, Raymond Felton, and — who else started that year? — Boris Diaw. On our second team it was me, Derrick Brown, DJ Augustin, maybe Tyrus Thomasand somebody else. He looked like prime Michael Jordan, without the quickness and the jumping ability. But it was just all MJ work. Talking smack the whole time.

Gerald Henderson:: He kept going back and forth with Stephen Jackson. Jack at that time was like a borderline All-Star. He had a really good season the season before and I think in the media he was talking about how he should have been an All-Star. I guess Jack went to the basket and throws up a shot and the coaches didn’t call a foul. Jack yells out, “Yo, that’s a foul,” this and that (https://theathletic.com/4989701/2023/10/25/michael-jordan-hornets-oral-history/?source=user_shared_article). MJ comes down and hits the game-winner. Game’s over and Jack is still talking, “that’s a foul.” Jordan goes “The MFer ain’t never been an All-Star but wants all the All-Star calls.” We was like “Oh, s–t. Damn that was a little harsh.”

Yep, didn't take long at all for Bronie fluffers to start showing their desperation. :lol

You got your AV back though, so at least you can sleep better at night.

I hear a lot of tears flowing and not much substance. Can anyone share with me his season 21 stats?

For reference, in LBJ's 20th season he put up 29/8/7 on .500% FG and .321% from 3P

I know Mikey's 15th season he was putting up 20/6/4 on .445% FG and .290% from 3P :lol

So if MJ actually had the mental toughness to make it 20 seasons how far is he dropping off from his 20/6/4 on 44% and 29%

Is he dipping down to 13/3/2 on 38% FG and 19% 3P?

Even Wizards Jordan who sucked still wasn't a net negative like LeShrivel has been for the last couple years.

Truth hurts.

Objective fact:

Jordan would NOT be able to physically endure a 21th season.

Jordan retired after 98 and by 2001 he already had knee problems early on in the season because his body couldn't endure a NBA ramp up.

So Jordan would not be able to play 21 straight seasons physically.

If he somehow was on an NBA team, he would average 0/0/0 as a bench figure head in his 21st season.

Lebron has physical issues too like everyone does eventually. The difference is players expected to play every game then and now they don't. How many players played until they were 42? I think you can count them on one hand

If he'd played 21 years straight he would have been up with Kareem in age. 6 players played at an older age than Kareem. That's including Haslem who didn't really even play the last few years. Yet MJ is a quitter.

Arguably tougher than the schedules these guys have today. Tougher pre-season. Less rest between games. No chartered flights. No load management. 45 minutes a game in the playoffs

Playing all 82 games is pretty meaningless argument when you factor in players are sometimes forced to sit now.

playing 21 seasons when you come into the league at 18 vs 21 or 22 like most in MJ's day isn't the same either but here we are with another thread trying to prop up Lebron over MJ

I don't really care about this kind of argument. It's bound to just go around i circles. Was just pointing something out.

I'm sure he cries himself to sleep with those 2 extra championships, extra MVP, 2 extra FMVP, 9 extra scoring titles, NCAA ring & 2 extra Olympic Gold medals, and the 4 more all-NBA defense & DPOY & 2x slam-dunk contest awards. It's got to be painful being the GOAT with all that burden of winning.
